Sydney Trance Clubs

Does anyone know any good ones?

1. A night of Trance (at ARQ Nightclub, Flinders Street). This is montghly and is pretty much the only source of real trance in Sydney, barring guest sets at random events

2. Progress @ GAS nightclub, harder stuff, but sometimes still quite uplifting, altho the crowd isnt always the best

3. Sublime @ HOME nightclube, this is big and fun, but it's mostly hard trance or hard style. But if you catch a night when jumping jack is playing you will hear uplifting and tech trance.

Tank is supposed to be pretty good.
I heard Innc has been banging out Trance for awhile as well.
But Innc sounds too much like Minc so I don't really wanna go there...

You are joking about those suggestions. Please tell me you are. Tank plays funky house and has never ever played trance. Innc is normally RnB but also hosts daydreams (saturday day) and sunday Innc (sunday night) that play trance.

If you want trance the 3 clubs to go to are:

A Night Of Trance - ARQ (Monthly Friday night) Uplifting and Euphoric Trance over 2 dance floors around 800 people

Sublime - Home (Weekly Friday night) Hard Trance 4 dancefloors although only the main is trance (around 1000 people)

Progress - Gas (Weekly Saturday night) Hard Trance and Hard House around 800 people

Their are also various other club events that play a bit of trance such as ULTRA (Uplifting trance, Hard trance, Happy hardcore), Breed (Hard Trance, Hard House, Hardstyle), Various Surge Party run events, Global Panic e.t.c. e.t.c.

There's also plastic on a Friday night for some harder sounds, but generally the selection is pretty limited.

Check out 3D world for a weekly rundown of what's on.

3 experiences from gas -

1. My mate gets bashed by an asian gang just outside the club - these were guys who eyed hm off while in the club

2. Another mate plays the daytona game, then gets forced to end his game to some asians could play, he agreed, but they elbowed him in teh head anyway, then when they all left, the bashed hum outside the club

3. A guy was urinating all over the floor in open view of everyone

There just seems to be a noticable level of gangs and groups of people that have massive ego and attitude problems and are way too violent.

It's something you gotta face in all clubs, but I just noticed it more at GAS

I love GAS a s avenue however

A mate has suggested going to Tank, but I never remembered him mentioning it was funky house... Guess I just assumed it was trance.

Werd.

RIP Dendy.

Also regarding Progress at Gas, I think the crowd is a lot better these days than it used to be. Going there a year ago could be intimidating at times, but having been there 3-4 times in the last month or two I think it's improved a lot. Most of the Asians there are actually pretty friendly if you talk to them...
