Sphinx [Unfinished] -> need feedback
hey, just thought I would like to share a 70% complete with you guys what I've been slaving away at for the past 3 weeks. After getting a personal msg from les hemstock about my other track (wicked storm), he commented that I could use some more attention to detail, which I guess is true. I've used many many many synths and percussion samples, and have had to create many of my loops and riffs just for this track and the result is something I am quite pleased with.
Anyways, I do need some feedback on this as I need a different viewpoint. I don't care if it's awesome or if it sucks but please tell me why and what you liked/disliked about it. Any criticism is very welcome
Here is the track:

Thanks!
P.S. I will post the full 192 kbs version when I'm done
You have a quite cool intro(loop), I do not like the kick! You def need to do something with the volume levels, I mean there are certain thing which are kind of hard to hear (it might be my headphone though) way to many FXs for my taste.
If you keep working on it I'm pretty sure that this track might be quite cool !
Cheers
Wow, nicly done mate!!
I like what you have done so far a lot. The intro is very cool, great use of effects, great beat.
Love the bass you used there, your sound has really improved from what I hear, everything sounds pretty clear and sharp.
There are some issues you have to deal with though, first sharpen your kick make it harder and more noticeable in the mix. Also you should work on your sound levels, the effects at times sound to loud, and so is the synth
But overall this sounds super cool, one of your best works if you ask me. Would be nice to hear the full version when your done
This track sounds absolutely amazing dude! Attention to detail is obviously where it's at, I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this tune because everything is so well placed, so tight, and so interesting.
I'm not concerned about the kick, I thought it sounded great in the mix. What's especially good is the bass, it sounds really full and deep.
I agree that there is some mixing work to do here, I thought just before 4:00 that rocking acid line could be a little louder, to really bring out the solid mid of the tune. It's really a great rhythm part there, so crank it! Stereo field sounds excellent, but there are some parts in the tune that sound slightly muddy, around 2:43 could be a little brighter.
Oh yeah, absolutely loved the change-up at 0:54, sounds completely wicked!
Looking forward to hearing the finished version!

Thanks a lot guys! Really enjoyed all the comments (good or bad)... I'll try to tighten up the kick a bit... Right now just figuring out the build-up... want it to sound massive =)
Every single one of your comment is very valuable to me!
Nice intro. Interesting tune with nice meody. It reminds me a bit of earlier oakenfold stuff (late 90's) becuase its quite busy. everything seems to shine through well except the kick.
