Confused Good eq..?

Hey, i was recently looking at getting this, http://www.behringer.com/FBQ3102/index.cfm?lang=ENG
For my music setup. I dont dj but i love tweaking all the aspects of my music. I was wondering what kind of loss would i get from this beacouse im currently running optical 48khz into a reciver of mine then into my hd-497's. Im all for quality but ever since i changed from analogue to optical i can hear music at a new depth. Lmk what you guys/gals think about that EQ.

for the money, it is fab. obviously there are much bigger and better studio EQ's along similar lines, but usually you are talking 300-400. for a home setup, this will be more than good enough.

although if you have an extra 60 lying about, it might be worth looking at the next one up, 24bit digital:

That would be an awsome eq, way oveboard but 100% digital! optical in and optical out. I cant justify the +$400 pricetag. I think i will go with the one in the first post. The thing is that i dont want to use the dac's on my soundcard. I would rather run optial from computer to reciver then into eq or somthing like that. Does anyone know a Optical to RCA plug converter with good dacs...?

What im looking for is something that will convert Toslink digital to 1/4" analogue with good clarity. Somthing with good DAC's aka digital to analogue converter. Im looking into running this, Computer toslink out to toslink to analogue converter to eq then to headphone amp.
