A $200 deposit reserves you a seat and you don't have to give the rest until as early as January 2005.

With the beer specials down there and the cover its not worth it.
Hit the right clubs at the right time and you can get 3 for one beer and many times cover is free or 50 pesos (about $3.50 US). Mazatlan is not as expensive as cancun and acapulco. Very very cheap actually as it has not been over commercialized yet. Thats why i like it better than Cancun and Acapulco.

Thank you for your feed back. I have never been there myself so this will be a learning experience for me too. SunParties has been throwing these parties for 17 years there and I checked it out at a travel agency and they gave pretty much the same information. It is not as nice of a beach as Cancun, but nicer then Acapulco. I am told that food is cheap down there, and good too. And I heard that the clubs were actually expensive, that is why they recommend that you take the wristbands, but you certainly don't need all inclusive. That is a couple of hundred more and you will definitely not spend that much on food and drinks so flight and hotel only is the way to go. But if you were there then you would know the prices. I appreciate your response and anyone elses that has heard anything or been there.

Hi, sorry the party was always for March 1st, 2005. When I first posted the event the dates only went until New Years so I had to put it for that date for the event to be accepted. Then few days later the date was adjusted accordingly to March 1st.

If you consider $10 US cover expensive, then yes its expensive in mazatlan... trust me DONT GET THE WRISTBANDS. Ive been there.
Sorry to burst your bubble but you obviously haven't been there in the last few years or during spring break as it's $25-$35 open bar cover in March.

Club cover charge...
Oh, and in response to the cover charges, although I have never been yet, I have been advised that you can get into clubs cheap there, however there will be one themed party per night and that is the party that everyone will be at and that is the party that you can't get in to unless you have your wristband or pay $30+ at the door. So there is always a bar or club going on that is cheap to get in, but that will not be the bar/club that is the featured event of the evening where the majority of the partiers will be.
If there are any more questions or concerns please feel free to ask or inquire, I may not have all the answers myself but I can surely find it out for you. The company that I am promoting this trip for, SunParties.ca, they have been doing this trip for years and are the organizers of the themed nightly events.
Oh, and again, although I have never been there, I am hearing from people that just came back from there that this is an amazing get-away! Really fun, nice and apparently very beautiful! Now I am even more exicted to go, I can't wait!
