Peter Safranyos - Cloudland (Original Mix) UPDATED VERSION
hey guys,
here's a new tune from me, under my real name, heavily inspired by some Robert Nickson productions, so hope you like this one,
FINAL VERSION
------------------
Peter Safranyos - Cloudland (sample)
thanks for listening to my music,
Peter
quality melody, some work needs to be done tweaking sound wise.. but im sure it will get there! this sounds really good!
The sound is great. The arrangement could be better i think.
I like the melo
With a little bit work on it, could be an awsome track
Good mate
As always, the atmosphere is stunning. Amazing work!
I think the melody get's a little repetive, but of course, this is just short sample
hopefully you will add some more changes in it, else it will turn out quite boring.
Nothing wrong with the kicks/hats, they actually sound very good.
The melody is what needs improvements imo. I think that's all.
It's not one of your better ones, but still very good!
Yup, this tune has a really nice feel about it. The break/build is fantastic, it works really well. IMO the bassline that comes in at 1:22 could be ever so slightly brighter, just a little bit!
The mixing on the whole is really excellent too, there's heaps of clarity and depth. Possibly it could be clearer around 2:05ish, sounds like there's a few melody lines all in the same octave.
It's a pretty short sample but keeps me coming back for more! Hopefully you're going to post the whole track fairly soon
Awesome track, Peter. One of your best so far imo. The melody and atmosphere is just amazing. Really am flying in the clouds with this one.
Make sure to add a little more variety, so the track does not sound the same from start to finish. Also, maybe have a slightly sharper and punchier kick. Other than that, really want the final version of it asap. Keep it up man.
hmm, ill start off with things i think should be fixed, kick needs louder, the background melody is too stereo, sounds too much in the background, overall maybe a little too many things going on (too many notes) at once... its kind of colliding,
now the good things

the percs and fx are excellent, structure is great, melody is good too
very laid back and chilly, just my taste
so ya, just a couple mastering issues, no biggy
keep it up m8
peace out
Alright Pete!! This is great stuff!
Its so peaceful and uplifting. I love what you've done. I can't really suggest much. I'd like to hear a little more variation in the melody, as someone else suggested, but this is only a short sample, so nothing to be concerned about.
I'm looking forward to hearing the final product!
Keep up the fine work my friend,
Trev
Hey Pete,
I really like what you have done. melody is ok, bass sounds a bit weak to me. but the synths are awesome!
looking forward to our collab
keep it up!
Renco
Lets see..
Melody is nice...
just a few minor details you could take a look:
-Kick could be a little more punchy
-bassline is way too weak
Keep up the good work..
-Matti-
Yeah, you got something going on here.. Keep us posted with the progress.. With some tweaking it can turn into something really interesting.

downloading now pete. i look forward to hearing eternal bliss 2, your half of the project
sorry my half is so crappy. sucks i go first too, i get to make everyone go EW and delete it, either that or they get all angry fast forwarding half way through looking for your half
Hiya Pete!
Bass needs some work, first off. Also id change one of the closed hats, as it sounds like its clipping in my headphones, but its not, its just the sound you used. The sound you used in the breakdown is awesome, very rob nickson. Breakdown is very nice, it sounds very profesh. The kick roll is ugly, it just sounded compeletely wrong, im not sure what it is ?? Overall is a sweet production, just needs a little bit of work.
well done mate
i agree, kick/drum roll at the end of the breakdown is horrible.
sounds great overall, but it's a bit repeatative. try every phrase or two changing the key sequence/melody a bit, just for a bar, instead of just the percussion and bass change. like a couple extra notes, one time going up, one time going down, and feel free to be creative and playful with it when you do it, rather than something in time with the rest of the key sequence (ie maybe one or two fast, or drop one in between).
clap and bassline are vying a bit for power, they should compliment each other more. try resetting their timing a bit, by moving one layer just a fraction one way, or maybe its just the echo on the clap. im not sure. maybe nothing at all is wrong, i have pretty crappy speakers =)
sounds pretty good, the melody has a lot of potential. however a lot of the production sounds a bit thin, especially the kick + bass, need to give a lot of the elements a lot more padding out
hey pete!
i agree with luke. add more low, i think it's a common problem you have, your last track had the same problem
other then this i really like it! good melodies. just make the kick and bass stand out more.
john
cool sounds and how you put them together, Can't judge the arrangement well with a snippet. It just sounds like that little melody is just a build up to something bigger, which of course could happen in the breakdown. But it sure sounds nifty, potential
The melody and atmosphere are incredible, great work there as always. Nice harmonies.
Only beef is with the lowend. Kick is kinda low in volume, bassline could be stronger too.
Nice work so far.
thanks, guys for your comments!
i will fix the kick and low-end bassline problems, thanks for your comments
i forgot to mention that will be a vocal mix of this tune soon hopefully , so i will keep you updated about this too
cheers,
Peter
Hey Pete, good tune! This has loads of potential, but I think there are a couple of things you need to sort out first... The kick and bass could do with a being a bit more beefy. That kick roll needs to be changed too, it sounds out of time or something.
On the plus side though, I am really liking that melody, and when the bass and melody kick back in at 1:22 it sounds great!
I'm looking forward to hearing the finished article...

dont like the meldody... it is too repetetive.. the percussions sounds falt.. I really like the bass in the breakdown.. the melody is getting better.. (offkey?) .. but not my cup of tea.. and after the breakdown everything just loses it.. you need more punch in the end of the breakdown I think... u are on too something.. but it needs a whole lot of work..
Good track.
- melody is too reptitive, vary it once in a while, maybe like the melody in "Strange World" by Push
- Bass is good, but needs to be more prominent.
- strings are way too far in the bg
