Pretty much. One reason for that is that CDs are a lot easier to circulate in regards to unreleased material, kinda like dubplates in d'n'b. Another is that in a lot of places psy DJs spin, vinyl would melt due to the extreme temperatures. Before CDs came in, they used DATs, and even had their own DAT players for DJing.

you mean that most psy doesnt get signed?

Because it has been statistically proven through tests with very important scientists working at internationally known universities that listening to psy actually increases your risk of getting colon cancer by 50%.

Live acts bring in most or all of their equipment and do most of the songs live (of course with the patterns and loops all programmed).

Goa developed because DJs tried to make music there and found their vinyls melting, so developed a sound around mixing a bunch of preprogrammed loops and sound effects DAT tapes. No kidding.
