Read This! Question for the ladies re: rings

In many countries married women wear a ring on their left ring finger (right ring finger in Russia and other places).

However, I keep seeing girls wearing rings on their left MIDDLE finger.

My question is, are those girls trying to show that they have boyfriends?

no. the only thhing girls do are promise rings on their ring fingers

some of our Flight attendants wear em to keep the slutty buisnessmen ...(and us pilots..hehe) away...

Also flew with one last week that I inquired that she was married, but said no, it was a ring from her mom and that she was left handed so wore it on her ring finger (marriage side)...though it did double as a deterrant to those crazy passengers.

Beats me though otherwise...seems to be pretty common round here to wear em even if you aren't married....so confusing...sheesh

all it taught me was to hit on EVERYONE

I even had that conversation the other day. I was hanging out with this girl and she finally said, "im married"

I said "ohhh shit, now you arent cool any more, I dont think I can ever talk to you again" voice dripping with sarcasm.

Girls dont understand guys at all

I've never even heard of that. I wear rings on all my fingers! But that's just cuz I love jewlery and after selling it all throughout my college years and getting a discount, I just happen to have a lot of rings!
But soemone on my Greek cruise this year told me that Europeans wear their wedding rings on their right hand. Is that true? Cuz the hot Romanian massage dude on our ship had a band on his left hand...

I've thought that for a looooong time, hehe. Some of them just don't understand my sense of humour, which is a shame.

I haven't noticed this phenomenon, largely because I don't pay any attention to what jewelry women are wearing.

Don't you care about whether they're single or not?

in college I was hitting on this one girl in my econ class all the time.
then one day she came in on crutches, I asked what had happened.
she had fallend down a grand staircase @ a hotel while on a romantic weekend with her fiance.
I look at her finger, and I bet the ring was at LEAST a carat. I just hadnt noticed it.
I felt stupid, and didnt hit on her anymore.
then the friendship went downhill.
I dunno..cocktease?

The way I see it, how you get to know someone, and even WHETHER you get to know someone, if affected by their status.

Could I get more input from actual females on this issue please?

ring on left middle finger means
1. i have a cool ring
2.i'm wearing it
3. it fits my middle finger.

nothing else

i think the new fad is independent (manless) women who make decent/good money are buying cool, diamond rings and wearing them on their right ring finger. i keep seeing ads for these awesome expensive costume (but real diamonds) rings and it says, "women, raise your right hand" on the ad. that's the only thing i can come up with.

Dunno

Recently I've been seeing girls with non-wedding rings on their left ring finger. Does THAT mean they're in a relationship?

Not necessarily, maybe their mom or best friend bought them a ring which happens to fit on that finger. I have rings on both hands (middle and ring finger), but i don't do it to show i have a boyfriend (although sometimes it _is_ useful in that context), i just happen to like them there

I've noticed a pretty big trend in Australia at least that girl don't really care what finger they wear rings on. Its usually the best fitting finger for the design of ring they like the best.

Girls that are married will usually tell you this pretty soon after meeting them, and rings on the finger can often be ignored if the girls are a little younger.

I think that's pretty much the trend anywhere.

Dunno

I have another question:

There's this girl I know that I've seen wear an engagement ring and wedding ring (together) about once every two weeks. The rest of the time she doesn't wear any rings.

What gives??? Is she married or not?
