Creepiest Thing

Okay, I was watching TV and in between these two commercials, there was this black frame with a little white box in it. So I rewound it on TiVo to see what it was. The little white box said, "Video Locked: I will be back."

I got it recorded, too. Now I'm all creeped out.

It's your dead ex-lover sending you a message from beyond the grave!

Try being in a pool at 3 am in a glass poolhouse with a million doors and you are in the middle of the pool with no lights on and you here a huge fuckign splash 10 feet away from you

Save your stickers for someone who needs them little man. Have you worked out your little TiVo problem yet? I was afraid you might have died an agonizing death worry about minor technical problems on TV.

I'm sure you think you're funny. Good luck with that.

Funny? Not at all. I'm genuinely concerned about the state of your mental health. Normal, healthy people don't get freaked out by TV glitches and obsess about them so much that they need to post about them on internet message boards. It's probably a sign of a serious underlying problem, and I highly recommend you seek professional help.

I would strongly suggest not to pick fights with Arbiter, it is apparent he is going to continue to burn you

Yes, Arbiter will continue to refute everything until you shut up.

Posted by Pariah Cleric on Oct-24-2004 04:59:

Whatever, I'm glad to see he has nothing better to do.

Posted by Dmatrox on Oct-24-2004 06:45:

what? you can rewind shit on TV? wtf?

what is TiVO?

i guess the image got recorded accidentally by someone.

Posted by Pariah Cleric on Oct-24-2004 06:58:

TiVo is a hard drive for your TV. It temporarily records programs (unless you choose to permanently record them), so you can pause, rewind, fast forward (although you can only go up to the point where it's live. You can't fast forward past what's already been on.), etc.

damn thats awesome. gotta get me one of those. So can you record programs from tv onto the HD and transfer it to your computer?

Posted by Pariah Cleric on Oct-24-2004 07:11:

Umm... I'm sure you can somehow, but I don't see why you'd want to. You can just watch the recorded programs on your TV.

speaking of TIVO, has anyone taken the hard drive apart from the machine, and run it as a secodary drive on your computer to see what kind of information is on the hard drive, and what file types are the saved tv programs ....

someone has I'm sure. I'm sure people have swapped in bigger harddrives too. I'm sure there is a forum out there with a ton of information on this.

It happens all the time, it is a little game for your subconcious. The biggest succes is The Simpsons. This proyect was said to have beign started by the NSA, but it goes beyond that.
But then again, I am just trippin.
