her band on the other hand, proved that they were consummate professionals by playing on, bravo for them

I thought blaming the band was a poor move on her part as well. I understand that she was just trying to save face with her career, but it was pretty obvious that the band was not at fault at all. If she had just blamed a technical error, that might have worked out better, but she chose to fault the band.
