-- What I set out to Achieve...
What I set out to Achieve...
Alright,granted:
You crazy mofo's are all trance addicts..but I swear to High Heaven that one day...ONE DAY!..you will all love hardcore. Maybe not all of you...but if I can sway just one of youse guys, my life will be complete..that is until I can see Dj Promo. But we can't all have what we want most, can we?
On the other hand: I emplore all of you to show me sick sick trance..cuz some of it's actually pretty damn slick.
Give and take, children.
I'ma try and find some relatively cheap host with a decent bandwidth and I will create a site. One for all hardcore...and an ftp for yo' crazy ass trance. But that won't happen until i can get my greedy little hands on a VISA and or Mastercard [so if you're feelin' generous..hehe]
so yeah..that's my goal.
the Black Sun Emperor
Post Script:
I won't force any of the crazy hard shit on y'all though..that might just blow your minds. and we can't have that.
lol i think a lot of people (at least the dutch ones that remember the hard days) kinda went from hardcore to trance, not other way around. However every now and than nothing beats a good ole distorted 909 kick, however i can go without 180bpm
hardcore... simple things for simple minds..
because ur from the UK i know u know im only jokin..
ye i used to listen to some old hardcore rave music.. when i was 10
i think i can speak for most of us when i say we wanted something a little more imaginative... thus trance
i agree with pjotr g. me and all of my friends started out with hardcore and gabber but we all kinda mellowed out to trance over the years. the back and knees just don't keep up after a while. specially when you get to be an old man like me. trance makes for nice music to dance to and when the body gives out you can still enjoy it for its' muscial quality.
lost
Has it ever occurred to you that you're a mofo yourself?
And a crazy one at that...
Mofo?

oh why... i still listen to Hardcore sometimes (but not that sack of shit Happy Hardcore
)
I prefer Terrorcore (or Speedcore as it's called in US) with beatrate of 300 and higher. I listen to it when im being angry and wanna blow up the whole fuckin world
(and believe it or not, it works!)
AcidCore is also one of my favorite Hardcore genres - i freakin love it when TB303 goes mad with hardcore builds
(like in Cixx vs. The vynil Junk - The Lecker; Unknown Structure - Helixcoid; Brain - Mystique; DDR & The Geezer - Mad Cows on Acid; Lenny Dee & DJ Edge - Silence of Eternity etc.) Outstanding shit!
What i don't like is Rotterdam Hardcore and ArtCore - very boring stuff
(IMHO)
Generally, when i was into Hardcore my favor producers were (and still are actually) Omar Santana, Lenny Dee, Manu le Malin, Liza 'n' Liaz, DJ Paul (he was very good before he started making that ultra-commercial cheese under the name Dj Paul Elstak), Vinyl Junk, Delta 9, Wedlock, Ruffneck, DJ Dano, The prophet (of course!), Stunned Guys .
But frankly, i dont understand people who listen to Hardcore *only* - what's so bad in CLassic Techno or Trance??

Hardcore LOL !!!! Do ppl still listen to that stuff (er...I'd call it shit, but I believe in tolerance)....LOL I have no idea what the hell would possess someone to listen to 160 bpm...except maybe candy kids.
Dude...I hope u are joking because hardcore ain't comming back anytime soon. Even the epic trance that has been so popular for the last few years is making way for the progressive era. The future is progressive man....hardcore is dead !!!
RIP Hardcore !!!!!
I listen to L.A. Hard House which is like hardcore...guys like Delta 9, George Centeno, Darren R....
I listened to that before I listened to trance and I still do.
Hard House and Hardcore ROCK!!!
easy, big fella.

Screw "newstyle", NOTHING beats OLDSKOOL
you can't beat "ramirez - terapia" with a stick, or "marshall masters - setreo murder", or....welll listen to thunderdome 1 (only the slow tracks tho
) and you get my point.
And for hardcore being dead? Not ever gonna happen for the people that have even loved it. I listen to trance and techno and progressive and the likes too, and you can't simply call hardcore inferior. It is NOT easier to make (yea, making a BAD CHEESY tune is easy i know, but not a good track). Some people only hear the kick and think "all these people have to do is throw in a fakkin hard kick at 160 bpm and a hardcore track is born" it's not even like that. See it a bit like techno, a lot of focus on the rhythm.
Mute Point Blank.
So taste clashes once again.
See. I'd have to disagree with you on NewSytle vs Old Skool. While I love old skool, it just doesn't seem to have the same flare [granted production is much more advanced these days..so who knows what Dj Paul could come with if he tried..;?].
But yuo can never really beat classics like Industrial Strength or Exlax...awesome stuff. Forgotten Moments - lenny dee..goddamn. :-)
As for ease of creating hardcore..i'd go as far to say that it is the hardest type of music to actually make WELL. A solid track is very rare in hardcore. There's some good shit going on at
www.thridmovement.nl check it out...
and at www.sector-1.com
well..it's time for lunch.
pieces.
