i'm gonna die in vegas...

from a norovirus!!!! wtf.

like 200 people have gotten sick in the last week while staying at the Flamingo, and that's where im booked to stay this weekend for 4 nights. apparently its called a norovirus and it's quite common on cruise ships and in hotels. it gives you flu-like symptoms for 1 or 2 days - vomiting, nausea, diahhrea, headache... which is way more than i want to be sick while i'm on my fuckin' vacation.

i'm calling the hotel tonight to see if it's possible to make arrangements to stay somewhere else instead.

anyone ever have any experiences like this?

i would for sure go somewhere else...don't chance it. they had that problem w/ all the cruise lines down here...i've never been on a cruise, and for some reason, i never really wanted to or felt like i was missing out on anything great...but that whole thing w/ the viruses on the ships sealed the deal.

i dont think they would hang up on you. what is the cancellation policy? sometimes you have X amount of hours or they will charge you for the first nite. it isnt your fault they couldnt keep up with the health code.

These are also the symptoms of hangovers, which I'm sure you will experience, so I wouldn't be worrying too much

I stayed @ the MGM when i went down in July. I was told the Flamingo is garbage by a few people. Anyways, dont get sick & spend the G's!

I stayed at the Flamingo when I went to Vegas back in August 2002. I was impressed by the quality (since the Flamingo doesnt get any attention from the big tourists; the infintely more popular Belagio is right across the street, along with Caesers. Paris is right next door). Then again virus = no fun. Try to book someplace else.
