Attention All Newbies/dumbasses/retards/lazy People

Hello
Before posting a question, please check it hasnt been posted like a hundred times before.
A brief will reveal it probably has, and possibly has a multi page thread of answers.
If your question has been asked before, then consider bumping it- or just read it and your answer may be (just may be) contained therein.

Im as tolerant and patient as the next bloke, but when you log on every day and get 10 new threads asking EXACTLY the same thing as was posted a week before, it gets real old real fast

This is including, but not limited to:
-Which turntable should i buy?
-Which Mixer should i buy?
-Which cart should i buy?
-Which Headphones should i buy?
-Are Technics turntables good/crap?
-XXX Turntable VS Technics?

EDIT: AND IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT PRODUCTION, PLEASE GO TO THE PRODUCTION FORUM! (unless they invent a round black plastic synth that spins on a platter) cheers - tu_face

p.s. if search doesn't work or doesn't bring up the result you are looking for, please try using the site switch on google:

Im too LAZY to search but will find it funny if there is already a post about using search as a topic. And using search would fine this same topic. Huge circle of searching about searching.

if you are gonna be too lazy to search, and if you are expecting aswers from people who have been in this alot longer than you have, then dont be surprised if you dont get answers or get really rude ones.

thanks freak for making this post, it needed to be done. this definitly needs to be made a sticky.

Quality post!!!! Too bad the noobs et. al. will not read it and we'll still have to sift through the 100 or so what should I by threads every damned week. I'm not saying they're bad, but 90% of them are redundant and could be eliminated if the person had been thoughtful enough to search before they asked.

+3 for the sticky idea as well!!!

There's many topics about using search all of which have probably been created hoping that people would get the point!!! You'd think if you said it enough it might lodge somewhere in someone's walnut sized brain and they'd remember it. Apparently not....

Good post Freak, I definately agree on this, I'm no n00b but I use the search alot, and it can help you out loads.

Posted by anth_on_e on Oct-26-2004 23:27:

i remeber wen i saw that music video i loved it, but that was also a while ago when i was still pretty young. Thanks

Posted by Cheetah86 on Oct-27-2004 00:09:

This is so true. The worst part is, sometimes it's so bad that the same topic will be on the front page already, not even requiring a search, but just browsing THE FRONT PAGE.

Which turntable should I buy?

Any Suggestions?

Posted by 3xx3r7 on Oct-27-2004 01:14:

Yo, Freak. You forgot to hyperlink each search image to the search page.

Good thread, except for the fact that you can't search right now and haven't been able to for a few days or more...

There seems to have been a slight problem with the tranceaddict Forums database. -- If it says 'Too Many Connections' we already know about the problem and are working hard to resolve it.

You'd think someone would try and see if search worked before going on about it wouldnt you...

People didn't search when the search actually worked, so why would this be a wrong post?

I think Freak knows the search isn't working atm. He's just making a point about all the unnecesary posts that are made here every day, and I fully support him in that.

Ps: This should be a sticky.

^ what he said.

Not only is it REALLY annoying when the same things are posted over and over, but I don't want it to chase away the few really respected members of the forum here (freak and nem ), the members that have the most experiance to share.
