Montreal vs Trance

If you're friday night and suddenly you wanna listen to trance and go to a club it's just impossible ...
the only way to have it is a rave with trance djs or sometimes sona like for tiesto...
we have thousands of clubs with pop dance crap music..
we have thousands of hip-hop clubs
we have thousands of house clubs
we have a couple of hardhouse/hard techno/etc...

NO TRANCE CLUBS !!! How come ?! it's too good ?!!

man i feel like i've explained this 100 times

I had the impression that on Oct 5th, about 200 people were in the front of tiesto and really enjoyed it.....200 people in this city care about uplifting trance.....200 people who weren't that wacked on 5 pills still were there for the music

about 2800 people were there because
a)packed night.......why not go?
b) its friday and most of the crack fiends go every friday anyways
c) it makes a change from hard techno/house

if anyone opened up a "trance club" you would have about the same 200 people there every weekend and another 300 who are there to check it out

I definitely agree with you Mike , if it wasn't for Tiesto or PvD i don't think i would put my feet in Sona (or any other after hour) . I don't like the rave culture at all , all that massage crap , vicks smelling etc. is not my kind . If someone has the guts to open a Trance club in Montreal FOR THE MUSIC ONLY (not for scamming people or candy kids) , i think i'll definitely be there friday or saturday , even if there's no one to go with me . Just as long as there's the good music and the good ambiance , i'm there

Yes its not a trance club, but if you have any liking of techno, you can definatly say that its a world class venue!

So give it up, Sona is not trance, you'll just have to move to Europe. Toronto is a bit better iwth System Sound Bar Fridays being mostly progressive (but not cheese)

Hey guys, what about living sundays? its pretty cheese there.

i almost like techno more than trance...i just hate sona as a venue and it sucks that they are hosting a pretty decent rave of the year....last year freaky was pretty good but because they had no major headliners (seb f, and max seem pretty good) it wasn't enough to sell more than 1,500 tickets. Like my friend said, jarry park would have been pretty stupid if it had 1500 people. It would have felt strange
