School --- The Bitching thread

lucky was asking me how college was going so i decided to start a new thread about it and school in general... just whine and bitch all you want here... the teachers will never read this

anyways now im a sophmore in college (second year) and this year i actually have to "STUDY" you see the first year here i breezed by all my classes without studying and got basicly all A's. israeli highschool really prepared me well for afterwards. btw im majoring in computer engineering. well anyways back to bitching... i actually get swamped with homework, and im not the type that puts effort into the work outside of school time. my grades are reflecting... so far i got a 68 on my first exam in both computer science and math (i love math so im freaking out) but then agian i got a 92 in my thermodynamics class tonight i have an exam in statics & dynamics... wish me luck

ps, energy - jeremy called me agian this weekend and he's coming over on friday... then saturday night is the big day! and btw there are pics from the rave i went to last weekend in the rave/partie review thread. go check it out

well, i can be bitching about school 2, but well im on the 8th grade and im not even in high school yet.. i get shit load of homeworks and other works to do.. but im lucky enough to have smart friends that help me out in the time of need , so far i got a 91 in my math test and 85 in my arab test, thats all i had this year, hope my grades keep gettin better..

Well, i'm in the 9th grade now and things are going pretty well, but i have to put real effort in school now 'cause i want to move to a good school next year, so i need good grades for that...
I got 98 in English (native speakers), 89 in math, 94 in physics and 82 in french.. and a biology test is next week (but i'm really good in biology, so it's not such a big deal..).. anyway, wish me luck!

Well now when i got to the 9th grade i began working alot harder then befor with my homework and with school, when i was at 7 and 8 th grades i wasnt doing anything at class, even thiught i got 85 ��

alonzo - your lucky to study french at your school, here im learning fucking arabik, that sux big time....idont get it why do we need to learn arabic when all the arabian freaks around us just want to kill us???

anyways i got a �� test in math soon, soo i have been learning hard all holyday , really important for me to be in �� .

as for 5 - its a blast living in Texas! such a different culture here, easpecially the college life, its just like in the movies. the only thing that gets me is that they are so conservitive unlike israel which is far more liberal. there are a few jews here but most are "flotzim" and im the only true israeli in my college, the rest of them are from isrealis who moved with they're families years ago.
and for 6 - there are kusiot here and there (you should see some of the hot cowgirls) but not at the frequency there are in isreal. isreali girls are so beautiful, my theory why is because they are so varied and theres a large gene pool (jew in israel are from everywhere in the world). then agian i could make do with what i have here, hehe

btw whats your story?

Well my story, ..to make it short: i was born in Tel aviv, lived in Raanana 7 years and moved to Austria in 1991 (during the gulf war). My mum is Austrian (but jewish) so she kinda ame back while my dad, a real israeli , had to adjust himself to a complete new world..like me and my 2 lill brothers (who know more about austria now than about israel)
I kept contact as i tried to visit as much as possible. and in 1999 i decided to spend half a year studying in Raanana (my austrian school allowed me). thus i got some friends there still, but unfortunately i havent been able to visit them for more than a year due to this Shitty Intifada..i hope to come in Canuka though.

The problem is not so much me but my relatives in Israel, especially my gramma who lives in Nahariya. If i came to Israel nowadays shed get an heart attac ause she worries that much..my Uncle too told me not to come (but that was when i planned to visit directly after the Dophinarium bombing)

I read your story now..i just didnt understand the Zahal part. You started made Miluim and then just decided to LEAVE? and they let you? In fact they cant let u outta israel after being 16 right? How did u manag this?
I for exapmple am only allowed to stay in israel 3 - 4 months per year.
Wel im 18 in December and i plan to leave Austria after finishing this year. Id either go to the UK or the USA. i do want some top Uni but we'll se about admission tests and all that crap

listen, dont take it personally but i think that many israelis, escpecially young one are the victims of israel's Anti-Autria line. That propaganda is a real shame and has nothing to do with what i experience(d) here. I once even wrote an e-mail to some journalist of Maariv who made Austria look like a nazi-land in one of his poor articles. He couldnt answer but was attacking me personally in response(batsard)
Anway, NO. this is not a nazi-country. And YES we Do have neo-nazis and skinheads running around hitting foreigners(Turkish and Yugoslavians) They arent against Jews though since we are a tiny minortiy. In my ity we have like 10, 15(we're te only israelis). In the capital,Vienna we have some 10,000. So the Nazis are mainly against immigratiom from Africa, turkey and the Balkan states.
BUT! You will fid skin head in Germany as well, In ENGLAND, France, SWEDEN(where marching aith a Zlav keres and hitler posters is LEGAL!!) italy or Holland as u sayed.
Austria is neither worse nor the worst country as for nazism/antisemitism. And second: The nazis after all ALWAYS get the knives into their bellys. take this for granted. Those turkish are like "our" arabs. Eyn efes..Dofkim bahem makot rezah rely on the oriental temper.
My own experiences..i have seen some ugly skins but as i said they "fight" punkists("freakim" you in israel would say) or foreigners..they dont stand a chance..they mostly get drunk and are stupid.
Once, and just once i had a little clash with one of them. that was some guy who went into my school and is 3 years older than me and who met me in the city. as he walked by i felt the tension and our shoulders crashed..actually i turned into his direction in order to him right away He apporached me with his head and we had some kind of MUTUAl head-butt. i donno whose head hurt more afterwards..then he went away and alled me "fucking jew who shuld be gased" i laughed and went on. Sure i ould have called some friends to fry him but who cares.
and by the way: that guy is now a "candy raver" going to my club every time..so mostly its just a phase of "coolness" that goes away.

in my school every1 know im israeli and jewish and i had no negative experiences..we do fight about israel's politics but i accpe it as legitimate political critic and not as an atni-semitic attack.
