Drunk Orbital - Belfast (Leama & Moor remix)

What an excellent remix of this track!!

I heard the Leama & Moor remix of Orbital's "Belfast" on Trance Around The World and in Ben Lost's set on TranceAirwaves (26th of october) and wonder if anyone knows if it's gonna get an official release and if yes: please tell me when!!

I'm glad you didn't post this in the New Releases Forum, unlike all the other people who post threads on tracks they have just heard.

Cheers

Haven't heard this, but this is my all time favourite Orbital song, lets hope it reaches the highs it gave me when I first heard the Sasha remix as Pete Tongs opener at Creamfields 99.

Definately one of the best ever songs produced, the ultimate chillout.

I was suprised by the quality of their An Ending (Ascent) remix. Perhaps I'll be suprised as to the quality of this one as well. The original is one of the best.

Belfast didn't really need a remix... it'd better be good.

[offtopic]

Can't wait to hear the new Space Manouevres and Slacker tracks.

Hmm. I'm with Mystery here, the Original 1991 version of Belfast is hard to improve, the 1998 Sasha vs. The Light remix was pretty good and i surely hope Leama & Moor did a decent job with this and didn't ruin it.

Some other interesting tracks on the Parks & Wilson top10 as well..

Duh LOL... Did post it at the wrong section (New Releases Forum indeed...). Someone was kind enough to replace it at the right section....

Belfast is a truly beautiful track. The Leama & Moor remix had better be something special. What worries me here is that there are two rules of remixing: (1) you can't improve on greatness, and (2) you can't polish a turd. Leama & Moor have their work cut out if they want to try and better this amazing track.

Still, I enjoyed their remix of Stage One so fingers crossed.

Interesting....

Anyways, I highly doubt anyone will come close to touching the original.

finally a track I like in their top 10

i don't know the original so i can't tell if the remix is better or not, but i definitely like what i'm hearing.. gorgeous voices.

Just heard this on ASOT and while it doesn't improve on the greatness of the original, it's a very respectful and decent remix.

Are Leama & Moor becoming a trance covers band?

Wouldn't really call leama and moor trance, more filtered melodic progressive, somewhere in the middle between trance and progressive. Andy moor has done a few individual remixes this year that have impressed, note kenny shifter - dirty little self.

Fair point - I'd agree with that.
