Factoria - No Escape 2004

Very nice remake release imo.
Very dark, great bassline and great buildup.
Reminds me abit of Phantom Manor sometimes
And that can't be a bad thing i guess

Factoria - No Escape 2004 (Factoria Remake) 8/10
Factoria - No Escape 2004 (MK-S Remix) 7.5/10

Factoria remake has a harder bassline which i like more but the MK-S remix is more chilled which i like also.
All in all good release.
What do you guys think?

nothing that stands out here. 2004's full of fairly formulaic tunes so far. 5/10 for both versions.

*whisper*
he's an annoying lil' 16 year old. Minimal IQ, minimal patience and most of all, minimal common sense.

I don't like this track much. Taht evil laugh just doesn't do it for me so many times throughout the track... I like Phantom Manor better at least it has some more drive to it

haven't heard the MK-S remix but I don't expect much from it due to the original not being that great

Original Mix 5/10

why?
this kinda comment is useless.

I like the original, but the MK-S remix seems too light and fluffy.

Let me be more detailed:

This song doesnt have the emotion element as ' A Legends Legacy'( which was a great song for factoria). Dave is a great producer but am not going to lie to him and say I like this song. I try to be honest and unbias in my reviews.

The song also has very traditional trance sound. I think the meleody is very 'atypical' for trance. Nothing special like ' A Legends Legacy'. It sounds like Factoria was trying to use some of the same synths from Lengends Legacy to make this sound. IMO it didnt work. The structure is very tradional as well; rolling build ups and break downs. The 'dark' voice samples really didnt add anything to this song. I get the feeling that this song was trying to have a dark felling ( i.e. darker melody + darker vocal samples) but it failed. If the song attained that dark feel and eliminated some of the standard trance sounds I would give it a higher ranking. This song just lacks the emotional appeal in my opinion.

As I said before, this isnt as good as his other works ( i.e. A Legends Legacy )

Heard MK-S remix....

overall I liked a Legend's Legacy better, but this isn't that bad. Currently I can't stop listening to Darren Tate vs Andrea Britton - Take My Hand enough to remember what it sounds like...

Agree, Mattsanity always acts like he heard all the tracks, and replies every new thread that appears, ... He called Shane - C'est Musique (Armin van Buuren Remix) absolute cheese and thought Beam - Amun was the best track ever made, ... talking about making sense

However, I think this 2004 remake of Escape was not all that good, but it ain't bad either! The Factoria Remake is just an ordinary trancer, the build-up, use of samples and stuff are nothing new, and actually not completely different then the original!

Factoria Remake 6.5/10
MK-S Remix 5.5/10

I think the MK-S Remix is kinda poor, it doesn't add anything original or so. It's just like a lot of other remixes he did, taking the exact same melody, adding a new beat and bassline an their's a MK-S Remix ... no affence, but I think he could at least try to do something new!
He uses good samples and his build-ups are good, ... sure he has the cappacity to be a great producer, but this is just a little too simple
