cam you lied to me

yes it is crap! so many good djs dropped and cheesy shite went to the top

some suprises tho

6 Hernan Cattaneo

wouldn't have expected that.

Posted by tubby on Oct-29-2004 00:49:

anyone would think that the list forced your decisions on what you could listen to next year. It's a popularity vote, nothing more. Who toured which markets, who appeared at big events, got on ads, got radio airplay. why do people take it so seriously?

Posted by tubby on Oct-29-2004 00:50:

actually, now hernan cattaneo is in the top 10, i think i must stop listening to his stuff. Obviously being popular means he is no longer quality :P

You serious? He's an Argentinian prog DJ that made it big after being signed to Oakenfold's Perfecto label. He's good but not #6 good.

only one of the finest prog djs around

STOP BEING SO CONFINED TO CHEESE STAMPFACE!

explore my friend!

All i can say is who cares!!! The voting in this will always be biased to the biggest extent. Better things to do than worry about which number a DJ is coming in a poll..

Yeah back in March - easily one of the best progressive sets of ever witnessed. Didn't let up for 5 hours and finished with breaks remixes of just about every big name EDM tune ever written. He wasn't that great when he came out here in 2002 though and the live sets I've got of his can be a bit hit and miss, hence why I don't really think he's earnt the number 6 spot yet.

(Prefer he got it ahead of ATB or Judge Jules though obviously...)

Johan Gielen above Markus Schulz = Biggest Joke EVER!!

Like every "Who's the BEST DJ" poll .. including ITM50 and the upcoming PDMAs in Perth, is all about who's name is known the most.

I'm really kinda sick of these things because everyone starts going "what the f**k, he's a shit DJ blahblahblahblahwhingewhingesooksookboxofkleenexpl easeimabigbabywahwahwah" ..

Its all about publicity, mailing lists and hotmail accounts!

Posted by First Strike on Oct-29-2004 05:38:

Waiting for more posts that go like;

How the fuck did (insert name of dj who you hate or all the djs who play a style you dont like) win/get up so high they cant mix for shit and play cheese

I cant believe (insert name of dj you like) didnt get up higher in the list he/she has so much skill and has never fucked a mix and plays the best music.

Who cares about this shit dj mag poll.......

haha x 100

Posted by batemanscott on Oct-29-2004 10:34:

I find it funny that people vote the "dj" top 100 based on their production preferences.

Maybe we should have a "producer" popularity contest instead because this seems to be what people vote on. there is no way in hell half these guys are stand out dj's but because they make good tunes they get votes.
