2004-2005 NBA Season
Hey
What are your thoughts on the 2004-2005 upcoming NBA season?
Here's mine:
1) I think the Pistons are going to repeat with another title. They're team first approach and stifling D will be enough to get to the title
2) Kobe's going to find out what Penny did when he bolted for the Suns...life ain't easy without the big fella...the Lakers will be lucky to be in the playoffs
3)As for my team, the Knicks, this sight makes me want to cry
1) 2005 Finals: Timberwolves vs. Pacers; Timberwolves in 7
2) Lakers: No Playoffs; 9th Seed.
3) Grant Hill plays like Grant Hill of the early days.
4) Vince Carter no longer recognized as injury prone and said in the same breath as players like Kobe and Tracy.
5) Garnett wins second straight MVP award.
Go HEAT
this year should be very interesting with Shaq around now.
Go KINGS! wish Kobe gets MVP
Going to be another hair-pulling season with the Sixers. They always manage to beat the better teams, but never beat the teams they're supposed to.
At least they added some more size inside by getting Skinner back and Marc Jackson is healthy. Interested in seeing what Iguodala does. He's looked pretty solid so far in the preseason. Sucks I can't get any of their games except the nationally televised ones since I'm back at college. =\
I just came back from the Nets-Heat game and all I can say is Dwayne Fucking Wade is the man
Go Bucks!!!
too bad orlando won by one with 3.5 seconds left. i thought redd secured the victory... damn.
Great season debute for Shaq and the Heat, They totally destroyed the nets, I just finished watch the Lakers vs Jazz game, And the Lakers got there asses handed to them.

On last nights game, Shaq only played for 21 minutes, I wonder how long they will have him play on tonights game.

The Heat's home opener against the Caviliers was great, Another great win, Though the game was getting interesting, The Caviliers were playing really hard like the Heat were, The game was getting close, And this due to Labron James, But either way, The Heat came out victorious.

lemme say this:
been a laker fan my WHOLE life, and we got killed last yr.
after what happened to shaq and phil this yr., i'm no longer
a fan of theirs. cant support an owner like that
so this yr i'm a heat fan, strictly because i want shaq
to show kobe ONCE AND FOR ALL that HE'S the man.
kobe will NEVER win anything PERIOD.
other than that, the spurs are the team 2 beat, no doubt.
adding brent barry should make the difference

Looks like another win for the Heat
the scary thing is this team is still getting familliar with each other,Imagine when they finally jell completely.
4-0 baby!!
2 big games thursday and Friday for the heat against Mavs and Spurs
the knicks won there first game woohoo lol
I wouldn't get too excited over the Heat being 4-0. Granted I think they're going to have a fantastic year if Wade keeps playing like he is, but they beat New Jersey, Cleveland and Washington twice. Not exactly prime competition.
And it's already not looking good for the Sixers. Lost to the Knicks.
Someone out there wants Big Dog, right? We'll give him to you.

wow.. i am pretty late with this thread .. hahah .. but here's my analysis so far after two weeks..
-hometown new orleans hornets will struggle this year.. davis is a ballhog and maggloire is an awesome center .. top 3 center in the east by far ..
-dallas looks good. after losing nash, walker, jamison, and van exel from last year, they added terry, dampier, and stackhouse .. better defense this year than ever before.. they don't have to worry about offense, because they can just feed it to dirk and it's settled..
-lakers will not make the playoffs.. the burden has already taken it's toll on kobe already (foot injury) ..
-surprise team to make the east : orlando. all because of grant hill and the emerging dwight howard. he's averaging double figures in rebounds right now. showing orlando made the right decision for him, and making them forget about emeka, who is also having a good year.
-surprise team to make the west : phoenix. they're clicking right now. i thought chemistry would be a problem, with all different mixed philosophies between stoudemire, marion, nash, and richardson, but nope. they're clicking on all cylinders.
my prediction for the finals : kings vs. magic. some may laugh at that pick, but the kings will build their tempo around feb and march, charging into april for the playoffs, and they will kill their division (pacific). orlando. they are a surprise for me. but to tell you the truth, top 4 teams at the end will be detroit, miami, orlando, and indiana (4th because of internal problems)... detroit takes out indiana in 7, and miami and orlando duke it out, with orlando winning.. and orlando takes care of indiana...
