Houston has been dead

I check this section about once a week to see if there are any good upcoming events round town....and I couldnt help but notice that all the happenings are either in dallas or san antonio....

everything alright with spundae/sean? i'm a bit out of the loop since ive been so busy the past few months

Well in the past few months, Houston has been alive and kicking.

Maybe you should work on your timing.

No disrespect. Just my 2 cents.

Peace,

psh, maybe if you live in college station it seems alive and kicking.

other than sasha in early october, its been pretty quiet, headliner wise.

Ofcourse, my days of un-aircondtioned arena/gymnasium parties with dj ______ (enter a cool sounding word) and too many teenagers are over, so who knows.

also Adam Freeland, Dieselboy, Sneak and Mark Farina...Eddie Amador, Q-burns, and Goldie the month before. They may or may not be your taste...but you are mistaken if you say "it's been pretty quiet, headliner wise."

A headliner I'm actually anxious to see.
omg.omg.

I'd drive up to dallas AGAIN though for PVD, just didnt do it this time. And Corsten, well, hed have to come down here again.

Ugh, now if only Fergie/Liebing/Rush would come to Texas somehow.

Aint that the truth... strangely the whole personal taste thing originally got me into DJing, even though it was just a passive hobby at the time.

Posted by Numb3rJuan on Nov-25-2004 16:17:

a little too quiet, if ya know what I mean mate.

Posted by Danny Ocean on Nov-26-2004 11:18:

i hope something worth it comes up, i miss to partay with the houston TAs!

Posted by Matthias on Nov-26-2004 20:56:

I will concede to agree with ya.... Houston HAS been dead. But in my opinion...its always been dead to me in comparison to southern california. Back there...the dilema was trying to decide between a whole shitload of decent events happening over the same weekend. Here, if you can find at least ONE decent event to go to one your only night off of work you can count your blessings..

yeah...fuck houston. no shame in saying it.

(disclaimer...above statement influenced by a few shots of captain morgan)

I'm wondering too. Sean used to post here atleast once every two weeks with info/updates.

Posted by The_One on Nov-29-2004 08:33:

Well it sucks to hear that but after checking out Spundae's Website it seems that Houston wasnt the only place they shut down 'cause the only one that is left is Spundae San Francisco which is where it all began if I remember correctly. Oh well it was nice while it lasted.

Posted by digitalbreach on Nov-29-2004 17:38:

Dunno

I figured that would end up happening.

However at one point I actually thought it was gonna be bigger since Godskitchen had bought it out.
guess there will more roadtrips for the future.

hmm...yeah, it's getting old rolling into clubs w/my ipod. But seriously, i've contemplated renting out a VIP room and rocking out w/my ipod and bose speakers. How about a collaborative effort? We could all propose and vote on tracks to include, order, etc...
