What do you wear?
I was just wondering what type of clothes you ravers/clubbers wear, like the brand and style. It will be real helpful if a lot of US people reply because i'm trying to fit a new look to myself.
Thanks
one of the things that i enjoy most about the rave culture is that there is no definitive style. everyone shows up as they are and our common bond is the music. so i don't know if our answers will all be the same. i think a lot of our styles will be influenced by our backgrounds. as for me it's just baggy pants, t-shirt, and hat or visor. that's it. i've been dressing like this for the last 10 years and i've been raving for 5 years so nothing's really changed. i think a majority of brands that i buy are jnco, kikwear, and caffeine cuz they have some nice light, baggy pants and a lot of the styles out in california are going away from baggy and these are the only pants i can find that are still baggy. i prefer baggy clothes cuz i think it makes my dancing look more fluid and also cuz they hide my skinny legs.
lost
Yeah you can just wear whatever you want, thats what makes it so special. If I am inside I try to wear my Tech Nine nylon pants cuz they are so much better at breathing that anything cotton. I didn't think it made a big difference until I started clubbing a lot, and then it makes all the difference in the world. It is sooo easy to overheat, keep the clothes as light as possible! late/
Ecko...I'm addicted to it!
for clubbing......mostly Diesel and Calvin Klein and Banana Republic
i dress to impress when i hit clubs..its always a pair of 200$ dress pants and a dress shirt or a nice sweater....i used to work as a salesman selling suits so i have alot of nice shit or else i would never dress like that...too much cash

I used to be a promoter for stupid "gino" clubs here in T dot, so I have a nice little collection of diesel and whatnot, but personally I don't care about clothing, not like it really matters to me, I wear whats comfortable for work/school, I actually want to start my own line of DJ Friendly clothing
It's all about comfort my friends...nylon pants and a hooded sweater, thats the stuff.
im a bit of a prep my self i wear abercrombie, structure, american eagle and all those types of clothes. in the summer i wear a lot of aloha shirts(hawaiian). most of the time its jeans or khakis and a t-shirt or button-up shirt. i also have a lot of free t-shrts from business and stuff. nothing beats a free shirt
hey dj rob would dj friendly clothes mean extra big pockets for vinyls? or how about a headphones holder. that would be hot as hell
yeah i also dress a bit preppy.. i dotn know why my family isnt rich and i dont hang out with preppy kids, thats why i need a new look. All my freinds are skaters so they can wear skate clothes, if i wear nice baggy pants and things like that i'll fit in with my friends more and wont feel out of place(the clothes are similiar).
The main problem is.. who has enough money to buy 60$ pants? i mean crap, i got these nice yellow macgear pants for 40, they were on sale and had 10% off.. i love them theyre so comfortable, but they get real hot.
Anyways.. yeah these sound good, the pants are the most expensive thing though
thanks

hrm i usually dress pretty preppy like a button up shirt with t-shirt underneath and some sort of kakhi. for shoes, i have my adidas mad handles lol.
but for parties and stuff i love wearing Nike DRI FIT. that stuff is awesome, it brethes really well. If its hella cold, i wear Nike Thermal Fit (its really really warm)
basically, i just wear whats comfortable. btw, my fav brands are nike and nautica.
I preety much wear..armani exchange, french connection, polo, nautica that kind of stuff.
this is similar to my daily apparel
I'll be wearing this on the 27th

but usually just combats and a cotton t-shirt with trainers.
I wear an orange visor, a t-shirt, and baggy cargo pants and attach the glow sticks to my fingers.
I prefer one red glow stick, and one blue. It's my "Fire and Ice" style.
Wow! I started this thread like 6 million years ago,.....good to see it back on topic
yeah.
I went to a rave last night and i saw a lot of people had on UFO and Ecko but a lot of people had many different things on still.
For clubing i usually dress well, dress shirt, dess pants, dress shoes of good quality.
for raving i like cloth that is not to tight, but not to lose ( i dont like wearing this big cargo pants most people wear). As long as its comfortable.
And DRI-FIT? that thing sucks!! i bought this shirt, and everytime i use it when doing sports i almost faint, because i get so hot on it. Its suppose to dry very fast, but it after i take it off, it takes almost twice the time to dry than normal ones, maybe its defective but i dont think so, its not like it has a special mechanism. And it looks wet so fast, so i would never wear it for clubing.
i wear velvet robes everywhere.
heheh, nah, i dress pretty normal, alot of snowboarding stuff.

im a poor college student so here's my budget-dressing 2 cents:
check out an army surplus store. i got some pretty cool colorful army pants at one for cheap
also check thrift stores and think creatively--a lot of times you can find stuff that you can modify real easily with patches or glitter or whatever your thang is...
clothes
SNUG...SNUG...and more SNUG...
TeeHee
I usually just wear T-shirts and Caffeine (sp?) pants... The pants are usually expensive, but if you buy them in between seasons (like when all of the new styles are coming out, then you can usually get a good deal.
Check out www.karmaloop.com, they usually have good deals.
