-- Today I fell of a horse.

Posted by Gunyouken on Oct-31-2004 20:36:

KarateKid Today I fell of a horse.

I had my first fall off a horse today.

I was cantering into a jump and the thing just stops and I don't. Next thing I know I'm lying on my back, totally unable to breath... Well it took about 5 minutes to try and get my breath back, and to try and get up, and the horse just stands there with a stupid grin on his face. I've never been winded like that in my life. After that the horse stopped at two other jumps(I remained on though) and almost threw me when it took a jump too soon and catapulted it's ass in the air.

Every muscle in my body aches, and I know tomorro I'm prob not even gonna be able to get out of bed...

Good to see you haven't changed none.

Atleast after you fall you become very aware of the horses movement and you are quite ready if you should fall again.

It's fucking sore to fall.

Doesn't explain the vast amounts of chicks that ride horses though, maybe it's the can stand the pain of childbirth thing.

Sorry to hear about your little accident, and get well soon. But to be fair, I think all horse riders should think about these things before they start riding. I dont mean to be disrespectful to Mr Reeves, but if anyone gets thrown off of a horse, it's their own fault. I mean, how would you like it if one day, a horse decides to climb onto your back and ride you around a field?? Or make you race around a course with a load of equally misfortunate animals (and their horses), while a load of snooty-nosed tosspots swear at you because they just lost a bet on you when you didnt finish first?? I'd be a bit miffed to be honest.

Anyway, get well soon.

I'm not a jockey dude, I don't think anyone will take bets on me unless it's to see wheter I see my ass or not. Besides if horses wheren't ridin for fun they would all go to meat market and end up in your dogs food after they retire from racing(A horse only has like a 4 year life span if it races if it doesn't it can live a long happy life, I know of a horse that is 19 years old and still going strong with jumping and such).

I'm still sore though.
