Unhappy My DJM600 was stolen...

Okay well, this started last night my sister had some "friends" over the house... and my girl friend and I had plans to go out to the local State Fair... and when i got home around 12ish... i walked in my room and my DJM was gone look like they just riped everything out of the back of the mixer and ripped the power cord out of the wall as well because the casing for the socket is cracked now... and there is stretch marks on my RCA cables and ground cables...

Once i find out who did this im going to smach they're fookin face in... its taken me many years to save up for that thing and i want it back NOW!!!!

end rant

HOLY SHIT, sorry to hear that man, I can't imagen how pissed off you are right now, I know if that happened to me, I'd be on the news from going nuts, I hope you find out who it is and get it back or get moeny for a new one from them, and if you do end up meeting the guy, be sure to beat the livin shit out off him....after you get things sorted...hopefully.

Keep us updated.

yea, your parents have homeowners insurance or renters insurance. anyways, you can claim it on their insurance policy.

What a deusche bag thing to do. I hate it when people steal shit. And as far as blame goes, I would put the blame on your sister. It was her friends, so its her responsibility to watch them and not allow assholes over. She needs to be the one to find out who did this and either get it back or get the money.

Posted by vswede on Oct-31-2004 23:37:

that really sucks!
cant imagine how somebody got away with stealing the mixer your sister has some wierd friends! hope everything gets fixed some how or another.

Posted by djkoolaide on Oct-31-2004 23:52:

Exactly the reason why nobody is allowed in my room! I hope you find the person who stole it man, if that happened to me I'd be in jail for murder

Posted by Freak on Oct-31-2004 23:54:

had one stolen from a club once...
was under the console awaiing fitting- had been tested once and was brand new.
Never seen again.

Posted by Tiger777 on Oct-31-2004 23:55:

Here a "that sucks" is very appropriate. In your place, I'd start WW3 with my sister...

Posted by Wraith on Nov-01-2004 00:18:

Yea, if my sister invited someone over who was cock headed enough to still shit out of my room I would put almost all of this on her head and start demanding the money from her for a replacement if she can't figure out who the douchebag was that stole it. That is really weak though. Stealing in general sucks, but to steal shit you know damn well that the person worked hard and sacraficed to get is horrible. I think a beatdown is in order when you find the offender.

Man, just thinking about this has made me angry, but I'm also glad all my kit is in a controlled environment. Well, if you ever find the twat might I suggest a lock for your room or at least the place where you keep your set-up since it's pretty obvious your sister can't keep track of wtf is going on in the house.

Posted by Cosmic Realm on Nov-01-2004 03:05:

nope our home owners wont pay for it... because stuff going missing from the house isnt a rare thing...

so they slaped us with a $1,000 doductable... so anything after that they will pay for such as...

i buy a new Xone 92... it gets stolen... they will only pay $600 for it... see what i meen

and my sister already owes me money anyways for her cat breaking my needles as well... and some of her other "friends" takeing my PS2 and all my games...

her excuse is "im a college student, how can i pay for these things?... and i tell her i have no job its called doing odd jobs and saving..."

but im going to shut up now and make some more phone calls to local pawm shops...

Posted by Wraith on Nov-01-2004 03:45:

Yep, homeowners is worth shit when it comes to stolen stuff. My fiancee's father got almost all of his work tools stolen ($3000) and they would only cover $1500 worth of it and told him that if the claim went through his monthly insurance payment would increase as well. Fat lot of good insurance is.

As far as your mixer goes, good luck man. Although, like I said before, if I were you I would lock all of my shit up seeing as this isn't the only time stuff has gone missing. Also, have you filed a police report about it?? I ask that because if it does show up at a pawn shop they will probably hassle you about trying to get it back if you haven't.

Posted by Inertia on Nov-01-2004 04:17:

and doesn't your sister have any dea of who the ****** could be?

i go mental when someone tries to power on a deck without permission... this happened to me and there would be murders...

Yeah i know what you meen about home owners being shite..
but to answer your question yes i have filed a police report... they told me that they would keep an eye on all the hot pawn shops... as well as to call places and see if they have one and if the serial matches up to mine.. and if it does to call them and dont say anything to the shop onwers because if i leave the store once i come back it wont be there ...
and home owners covered my PS2 and games to let you guys know... but thats why we have this deductable now because of that... they said there was no way that all this stuff could go missing from one house hold...

Posted by dartman on Nov-01-2004 06:47:

dude, that totally sucks. i had a really nice mountain bike stolen from my house back in the day. it sounds like your sister hangs out with some real winners. i dont normally condone violence but i think a beat down is in order if you find out who stole your mixer. best of luck to you

Posted by tu_face on Nov-01-2004 09:50:

get the police involved. i would, and then if they can't do anything, get a list of names from your sister and brick all their houses. this isn't cheap equipment we are talking about here.. did you note the serial number?

if anyone hasn't written down the serial numbers of ALL your equipment, do so now. that way when it gets found you can prove its yours. or get one of those UV reactive pens, and write your surname, street number amd postcode/zip code on the gear. or both.

Definitly, the people who do such awfull things need to be punished! HANG'EM! In think that's your best bet to get your mixer back..

Posted by snowman99 on Nov-01-2004 10:16:

Steal something very valuable of your sisters, and hold it ramsom till she finds the mixer. Might be a bit immoral, but she knows the people, might have more sucess if shes pissed to.

Posted by T-Soma on Nov-01-2004 12:11:

I say find out his adress and post it in the forums here under the (to kill) list, their aint one yet but their should be!

Posted by Rarex on Nov-01-2004 12:18:

Yeah, get the police involved, try to get a list of names and addresses from your sister about who was at your house the other night...I would tell your parents and make them get names out of your sister, I'm sure if someone stole anything and then vandilized an electric plug in my room, I would hunt 'em down like birds.

Good luck, and I hope you find your equipment!
---------------------------------------------------------------
This summer....wow.....I locked my door, went to the bathroom, did my thing, and then one of my friends (who was in the room right next to me)...(this was in a dorm)....invited me over for about 30 minutes....my door was open since I share a room with 3 other people.....the next thing I know, I come back, none of my roomates there, my desk trashed, garbage thrown on my bed, desk lightbulb broken, and iBook stolen!

I eventually found the person who did the dirty deed, and I requested for a new room, and I talked to the headmaster about the person being expelled, he was kicked out around a week later and I had a new roomate, which was much easier...2 people per room, nice and neat..

Posted by Eis on Nov-01-2004 16:37:

This is soooo wrong, next week when I get my djm-600s I won't even let my sister see it :/. Maybe I have to get my gear to a vaul etc when I go to the army for a year

Posted by veezee on Nov-01-2004 16:49:

I feel sorry for you. It may sound like a prick thing to do, but call the police and make your sister take the rap (or atleast try to scare her).. fuck i would!!

Jay

P.S it could be worse, could have been your records stolen

Posted by Exodus17 on Nov-01-2004 17:50:

her friend stole your DJM???

So true... some "friends" she has. And they stole your PS2 earlier? Fcuk that. I agree with another poster - steal some of her shit and give it back only after she's found out who did it.

And that poor college excuse. Fcuk that too. There's lots of poor people out there, doesn't give them an excuse to be thieves!!!

Oh, and as soon as you can.. get a damn lock on your door. Your sister should never set foot in that room ever again.
