Does only listening to trance make you commited or ignorant?

Does only listening to trance make you commited or ignorant? This is something that ive often asked but what do you guys think?

or maybe it just means you like it and nothing else, you dont have to look deeply into everything you know...

mad i'd say. maybe back when trance had a good variety of good tunes then u could get away with it. but with 95% of new trance being utter toss nowadays i feel ud really be consigning yourself to a lack of quality music in ur life if you jsut listened to trance.

not really ignorant cose i dont even like most new trance that comes out anymore the best genre for me at the moment for quality is techno

word, techno, breaks and house all the way! it is a shame to say that most new trance is pants, but alas it is true.

i think only listening to 1 genre of music in general is not really good for you, i think variety of styles opens your mind up a bit more and that way you can feel much different feelings towards music, and you can experiment with your tastes more.

agreed with jeff. good music is good music, regardless of genre. if you can't tell good music from bad then you either aren't open to it, or can't recognise why music is the best form of creativity we little humans have every mastered.

personally i love prog and electro, and i'm always brought in by trance when its done well but my favourite bands will always be NIN and Skinny Puppy and i'll never leave home without stuff like Mogwai and Godspeed on my iPod.

ignorant
theres so many kind of crossover tracks which can lead to interest in other EDM genres

also plenty of proper music tickles my fancy, but then u could label me as an indie freak as well as a dance music junkie

I listen to non-stop instrumental EDM whenever i listen to music. Although that for me includes breaks, tech house, trance, hard trance and dnb
