I'm moving to England. I need few tips.
In July 2005 I'll move to England. I dont know the specific town yet.
So I need few answers.
school:
How much it costs? Im interested in doing Bachelor in Information Technology.
How much for a car insurance (some cheap car nothing fancy).
And are the cars expensive?
Housing, i know that the price will vary, but I'd like to know
What about food, what is the price of a bread, milk.
What about salaries. What is the lowest salary you can get.
What is the average salary.
Thank you for your help.
Im tired of Miami
Make sure you learn Spanish, Russian, Chinese & Potugese.
jk.
"If it's brown, drink it down. If it's black, send it back."

Uhh....
Steer clear of the moors?

Bring an anorak, an umbrella, wellington boots etc....

if you're moving from Miami expect a *big* weather shock!!

Theres also talks of a public smoking ban! and even an injection which in the future could be given to youngsters to stop them from smoking and drinking alchohol. in some parts of the country under 16's have to be in their house by 9 pm or they could be arrested. |
Piece of advice no. 1:
--Dont come here! Seriously!
The rest:
-How much it costs? well, Uk nationals have to pay 1100 a year tuition fees, and the rest is borrowed from the government.
As a non uk national , you would have to pay the lot- probably running into fees in excess of 10k judging by the prices of some private courses.
-How much for a car insurance (some cheap car nothing fancy).
F*cking shitloads- over inflated and unrealistic. It gets loaded for having a penis, being under 55 years of age or having anything more powerful than a toaster.
-And are the cars expensive?
The good ones are!But you can pick up an old but working shed for under a 100 quid easy enough.
-Housing, i know that the price will vary, but I'd like to know.
Average house price in the uk now: 155000 UKP. House prices have risen 200% over the last not many years.... Massively out of line with inflation and income so you pay lots for fuck all really.
One bed flat in london- 500 quid a month minimum, plus bills and council tax. Will be the size of a shoe box too.
-What about food, what is the price of a bread, milk.
Bread- cheap. Milk- cheap. Crack herion and cocaine is even cheaper and more readily available in certain areas.
-What about salaries. What is the lowest salary you can get.
Minimum wage is around 5 per hour. Full time? Ive seen muppets working full time for 10k or less.... thats BEFORE TAX! retards
-What is the average salary.
Not sure on this- i believe the average uk couples (ie married) income is 35000, but dont quote me on that.
If you are planning on moving to london- everything is more expensive
Britain is a ten-handed pick-pocket. no, seriously.
do it
Englands great
it's scotland and wales that fucking suck
Ill tel you what, we will swap lives, you will have a job, car, house (perants). which all are shit and over priced or under payed, and damn the shitty weather.

Everything is more expensive: 1 pound is currently = $1.83409
Parties are great!
Weather sux most of the year!
Good Luck!!!

is this 'move' anything to do with the fact that Poland (your flag) is in the EU now ? If that's the case then there's no point, apart from being able to come into the country theres no real perks. Best to stay in the states

Tuition fees for foreign nationals are approx 10k. I'm not sure if that applies to EU passport holders.
The average wage is around 21k.
Rent varies greatly according to where you live, i know ppl who are in Uni accomodation as low as 160 a month. Even if your in London uni accomodations shouldn't cost more than 400. If your going private I would say the average was around 300 from experience.
If your buying a house you better have a lot of money, the average price is approx 175k
This website shows house prices around the country
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/shared/spl/...html/houses.stm
Car insurance for young drivers without no claims discount costs a minimum of 800 for the ppl i know.
if you're from a new member state of the EU, i believe you can get extremely cheap education (maybe even free)... although i may be wrong!
Helpful tips on moving to England:
1. Learn to like Indian food.
2. Forget trying to find quality locally made trance.
3. Learn to like girls with gaps in the front of their teeth. Having a preference for 'fatties' could also help.
4. If you want to be a local you must learn not to wash often. And soap is definetely out.
5. Learn to get super excited when one of your national teams has a win, even against totally shit opposition; this is usually in qualifying or in the early stages of a competition. This applies to any sport, football, cricket. The key is to get super excited early and truly believe you can win the trophy.
And then prepare to get super devastated when the team chokes and manages to lose in an unbelievable manner. Then choose a member of the team to make a scapegoat and cop all the blame. This is the essence of being a fan of any English sporting team.
That should get you off to a flying start.
