the next game will be Grand Theft Auto 4.. and it will be out on PS 2 (read it in a magazine)

Meh. More and more console games are going to be online as we move into the future. I'm just hoping Sony gets its act together when designing the ps3 so that the technology will be able to compete with its rival consoles at the time. Sure, it may have better and more games now...but the graphics/computing power can't compete with Nintendo and Microsoft, who have both shown game developers they're no joke, especially MS.

Even when the PSone was around the graphics weren't the best and the console still held strong. That system was around during the end of the SNES/Genesis years, survived SEGA CD and Saturn then went on to compete with Nintendo 64 and Dreamcast *NOTE* That's 4, yes 4, SEGA consoles!

My point is, even though the graphics may not have been the most ground-breaking the gameplay was definitely there. Gameplay is what drives a game and a system, no argument. While Microsoft and Nintendo have their pretty graphics, they're still not able to pull off a realistic environment like a Sony console can. Metal Gear Solid 3 and the Silent Hill Series (2, 3 and 4) are prime examples of how well game developers can pull off a gritty/grainy environment using the Playstation 2 graphic engine.

I'm sure somebody is going to bring up the new Resident Evil game that is to be released on Gamecube soon, which does look amazing I won't argue that.

well the PS2 as teh ability to make just as good grpahics as the XBOX but the XBOX is just easier to make the games for. One reason being that since the XBOX is more like a computer(microsoft) its easier to create the games. But the PS2 is,im assuming, is in a different language or something.

IM basing this information from an old friends brother who works for Bungie. (now just to contact him again and get my free copy of halo 2 haha)

Anyways back on topic. I would liek to see GTA4 go online. heck everyone is doing it. why not GTA?

They need to remake THAT game in the manner like Vice City and San Andreas. I loved London 1969.

Dunno why everyone want to see GTA online perse, the game is one of the best single player games out there. So you won't see me cry if it doesn't go online.
