John Kerry: Military Idiot

Sometimes I wonder if Mr. Monday morning general is really this stupid, or is it his strange skull structure that is putting pressure on that part of his brain which controls memory and rational thought?

OCT 2004 - John Kerry

Calling Afghanistan " a botched operation in which Bush let Osama bin Laden get away because he outsourced bin Ladens capture to Warlords in the battle of Tora Bora."

Dec 2001 - John Kerry on National Television speaking of Tora Bora.

"What we are doing,I think is the best way to protect our troops and sort of minimalize the proximity, if you will-
not throwing American lives away in tunnels and caves in alien territory. I think we have been doing this pretty effectively and we should continue to do it that way

Wait--you mean he didn't realize there was a microphone?!?! It amazes me. He does this ALL THE TIME, yet continues to get a pass because the leftist media doesn't want to call him on it.

Obviously Kerry is a candidate that will say anything to get elected. He changes his mind more time than he changes his underwear.

Speed, if I seem a tad bit out of line today, I hope you forgive me tomorrow. I'm simply just a bit fired up today, so here's my simple rebuttal:

I CANNOT TELL IF YOU ARE BEING BLATANTLY DISHONEST OR SIMPLY MISLED, BUT EITHER WAY YOU'RE A FREAKING TOOL FOR NOT RESEACHING THIS FURTHER!!!!!

Have you even bothered to look at this in context? Seriously, have you? Jesus Christ, it would help once in a while if you actually did know what the hell you were fucking talking about! Let me take your hand and guide you down memory lane......

When Kerry had stated this, it was on Larry King Live 12/14/01. The question that was asked of him from which he replied to this was the following by a caller:

quote:
"Yes, I would like to ask the panel why they don't use napalm or flamethrowers on those tunnels and caves up there in Afghanistan?"

From which Kerry replied sensibly:

quote:
"Well, I think it depends on where you are tactically. They may well be doing that at some point in time. But for the moment, what we are doing, I think, is having its impact and it is the best way to protect our troops and sort of minimalize the proximity, if you will. I think we have been doing this pretty effectively and we should continue to do it that way."

IOW, Kerry was stating that napalm and flamethrowers were not the answer in Tora Bora. In no way was Kerry responding to Bush's tactics of utilizing Afghanistan warlords, bub, to track to bin Laden. He was stating in direct response to flamethrowers and napalm use.

And oh, so strangely, Congressman Cunningham (R-CA) agreed wholeheartedly with Kerry's tactical assessment of using napalm and flamethrowers as he explained further:

quote:
Cunningham: "I think Senator Kerry is right on the mark. To use a flamethrower, you've got to get right into the area close in. And plus, it doesn't penetrate that deep in those tunnels. You've got to go in there after him. So I think you have to neutralize that threat. And then you can get him out in a lot of different, various ways including what the gentleman spoke about."

Here, have a looksee yourself:

As I said, I apologize if I may be a bit out of line, but this last minute bullshit propaganda will not fly with me. Now go vote you bastards!

heh, try rebuting that one.

Good call MisterOpus1...As usual...

Reminds me of the SNL special last night...

Kerry: "I am pro-war with the pro-war crowds, and I am the anti-war candidate in front of anti-war crowds. That's not flip-flopping, that's pandering!"

Why whatever gave you that idea? Was it the Kerry the dolphin thread? Was it the gun control thread? Was it this thread? Was it the [insert any thread name] thread?

Kerry's English? I thought he was French?

Unhappy to speedracer guy

I was just wondering why you choose Bush over Kerry?
Lets be open here, if youre a Politician arent you expected to flip-flop. And in what sense is Kerry flip-flopping? Thinking twice before killing thousands of innocent people, hey buddy I would flip-flop.
It's like your implying that Kerry doesnt have the stomach to take on terrorists and fight wars. He did go to Vietnam didnt he?
Awww the leftist media is to fault, its because of the leftist media that the entire world hates Bush awww... thats just not true. Look at the stats, look at the number of people dieing. Yes Sadaam may have killed the same amount but estimates show it would have been over a period of 30 years, and 30 years hed probably be dead. Death in that country will only motivate more suicide bombers.

On a side note, this goes against both candidates, who claim they are going to hunt down terrorists.

Guys, the terrorists mostly do it because they have been hurt somehow by the US. Their families killed by US, bombs, or foreign policies that the US and some other Nations have implemented on them. These terrorists are not motivated by religion but use relgion as a tool. You need to realize this point. Then only will you understand that its possible only to kill the people (terrorists) who are going to take the troops head on. The real danger is from suicide bombers, think about it, there's no way you can find them. This false sense of security you think you'll get by reinstateing Bush can not possibly solve anything. If you really want a sense of security you need to help these people and change the way they think. Not vote a leader who is unwilling to see other peoples point of view. If you think by putting up a phony elections will solve anything you are seriously mistaken. Its ok to be hopeful about the Democracy and Freedom, but in reality once you take away the lives of their (terrorists) loved ones, I dont care how forgiving of a person your going to be, its going to motivate you to find someone to blame especially if your placed in an environment where everyone around you is going through the same thing.

And stop dividing your selves, the country is split 50/50, try and understand each others views, including the terrorist's views. Yes the Terrorists views. I'm just trying to help if you dont see it my way ask me to explain it better but dont say we are wrong because its only going to divide us further. Enough of this branding of everything Liberal and Leftist

Oppression is worse than Death.

Hi hausmusic, and welcome to the Poli Forum.

I'm pretty lazy right now, so instead of showing you, I'll just tell you to do quick search on Kerry the Dolphin through this forum and you'll run into the flip-flop issues of Kerry vs. Bush. Some good info. in there.

1. Kerry might as well be French. 2. Did you lose track of the election or did you not notice that Kerry doesn't brag about the Vietnam non-sense any more. If you paid attention you'd remmember that the captain of the ship that Kerry was on came forward and proclaimed Kerry a coward a weakling and a disgrace to all veterans. On top of all that, his captain never awarded Kerry a Silver Star, the medal that kerry supposedly recieved for saving a Green Beret out of the waters. Since early september when he made this statemeny, Kerry and his running mate did everything possible to prevent the captain (i know i should put his name but don't remmember at the moment, but will look it up when i have time) was supposed to publish a book exploiting all of Kerry's lies. Vote George W. Bush and keep america safe TODAY!

1. The French own a lot of our national debt now, so be afraid if you don't like them. And they didn't attack a country over weapons that never existed, but freedom fries taste good. 2. The Swift Boat vets have so many holes in their stories & Jim Rassman, who was the man saved by Kerry supports him and his account.

I've never seen a race before where the incumbent is running their campaign based on attacking the challenger and fear. In 1996 Clinton ran againt Bob Dole on the results of his first term, such as the economy and the balanced budget. If you had a job where you had to renew your contract with your boss, wouldn't you state the things you've done well and what you plan to do in the future, rather than bash the person who may get your job if you're fired?

Posted by d-miurge on Nov-02-2004 23:41:

I have a proverb: "only the dumbs do not change of an opinion"... To meditate... Considered instead of swallowing all that one says to you with the TV !

excuse me, I am French thus arrogant of course

He wont do much, because he wont have the house or senate, but at least he can have a veto over themand nominate a couple Supreme Court justices. The point is also that he's supposed to attack Bush's policies, because he's challenging for the incumbent's job. And he's done more than bash Bush, watch the keynote speakers from the conventions again. Obama = "hope", Zell Miller = angry Kerry basher

Posted by 0mii on Nov-02-2004 23:50:

first off, if the book Unfit for Command is so full of lies and "holes in their story" then how come it's out? TRUTH is the weapon again slander and libal. And speaking of bashing the other guy, what kind of MAN would pick on another man's child the taste-less, classless way that SOB picks on Cheney's daughter. and third of all Kerry's done nothing but bash on G.W. Bush without any sort of solid plan of his own, our country will tumble downhill just like it did while Clinton was in office emberrasing our country.

the only reason to interpret that as "picking on" someone is if you see something wrong with gays... which kerry apparently doesn't.

Because the 1st amendment is especially protected in the case of political affairs. Look up for their distortions on the archives ofwww.factcheck.org and www.mediamatters.org
Cheney's daughter was brought up before Kerry did, including in the Vice Presidential debate and Cheney thanked Edwards for his comments about her. Plus she's politically active in the GOP. What plans does Bush have other than "I'm strong on terror"? Kerry has plans to help balance the budget, gain healthcare for 90% of all Americans and reduce drugs costs through Canada and generic drugs, increase the number of police and firefighters, provide tax breaks for education, etc.
