but in all seriousness, what the fuck happened to Porto -
not to state the obvious
but usually
when you sell a shitload of players
you should probably use the money to buy some new ones
I still say that Porto has the best players in Portugal, they bought Diego, Luiz Fabiano, Seitaridis, per instance, and are still the ones I'm pointing out that will win the league in Portugal (not quite if Benfica buys Robinho in December - lol - and Trap begins leaving Zahovic on the bench, but that's another matter), but a team that is winning 2-0 in the 90th minute and looses 2 points on stoppage time and in two corners seriously has a problem...

Juve still going strong! Undefeated this season in Serie A and CL

| Originally posted by paranoik0 we bought: Diego - awesome player with loads of potential, too individiualist though and the team is already too dependent on him, when he plays bad the effect is evident on the team Luis Fabiano - suposedly one of the hottest strikers around, i don't think he has scored a goal since he got to Porto, clearly missing.. luck Postiga - i've always liked postiga a lot but currently he is just playing like shit, a shadow of what he was 2 seasons ago Quaresma - seemed such an amazing player 2 years ago at sporting, turned into a twat that won't pass the ball to anyone, seems also to lack the ability to cross. can solve a game on his own once in a while though Seitaridis - world class right back on euro 2004, while becoming imediately a first team player in Porto, he isn't playing at the level he was doing it for Greece Pepe - another young promising centre back, fast and deadly on corners, is at low form too plus Areias, a pretty decent left back that somehow stays on the bench while Ricardo Costa plays to sum it up, all the new signings while very promising have been mostly on bad form, add that the fact that Maniche, Costinha and Derlei are neither playing like last year and you get a nervous team, unable to make 3 consecutive correct passes, with a midfield that isn't working at all |
