Stanton RM-THREE replacement faders (or new mixer)?

I finally got a replacement power cord for the mixer I'm buying from my friend, and two of the fucking faders only work on the right channel! Anyone know where I can get replacement faders for an RM-THREE mixer for cheap? I've seem them on the web for like $40 i think, but the I need two and the mixer isn't even worth that much.

Alternatively, I could ditch the RM-THREE and get something a little better, but I don't have a whole lot to spend, maybe $300, or I could ask for it for Christmas...

Get something else.

Got any recommendations? I'd like something with features similar to what the RM-THRE has (like 3 channels, at least 6 inputs or so, kill switches, mix channel, fx send, etc) if not more, and decent sound quality (I don't need super high end sound quality, but something better than the RM-THREE )

Price range is probably $400 (US) max

New. Vestax pcv275, the most popular mixer on this forum. Wish it had deeper eqs though.

First I would go with a PCV275 if you can afford one.

Otherwise you should be able to pick up a Numark DM-3002X for pretty cheap. Some people may not consider that an upgrade from the RMS-3 but let me tell you, my buddy got an RMS3 about the same time I got a Numark DM-3000X. Mine was cheaper and has definitly held up better than his Stanton.

Dont forget the pcv175, if you cant afford a 275. Its not as good as the 275, but still very nice. 3 channels, kill switches etc.

I guess the pcv180 is an option too...

EDIT: i forgot whether the 175 had effects send/recieve. I checked, it does, so it meets all of the requirements that you listed.

Got another suggestion. The Ecler SMAC Pro 30, this should cost under $400 (http://www.agiprodj.com/detail.php?id=608) and should give you the features you want with good sound quality and reliability.

The Numark I mentioned is cheap, I got mine for about $140 somewhere and I see them at various placves for about $200.

If you can afford either of the Vestaxes mentioned or the Ecler I would go with those. I was thinking about upgrading my mixer to one of those but now I am trying to save up for the Ecler Nuo-5

I don't know if I should dare mention it, but the Behringer DJX700 PRO seems like a lot of features for a very low price, despite the bad things I've heard about it. Any thoughts?

Most people learn after buying a poor mixer, they learn that reliability is more important than features.

Go get a Ecler SMAC 30pro, order it from jason @ www.agiprodj.com or get a Vestax PCV-275.

BTW, i thought we told you not to buy the POS stanton rm-3, and it's probably the preamps that are dead b/c that happened to my rm-3 and it sounds like you have teh same exact problem i had.

1) I haven't bought it yet, I just bought the power supply so I could try it out before I paid for it. It looks like I won't be buying it.

2) I'm pretty sure its the faders because I swapped them around and the problems followed the broken faders

Alright apparently the Vestax PCV-175 and PCV-275 are both discontinued but they're still available, and their price is reduced at a lot of stores ($299 for the PCV-275 and $229 for the PCV-175). What I'm wondering is if these are discontinued what are their replacements, and are they worth getting or should I stick with the PCV-275?

do you mind if i ask where you found these fader replacements for the RM-3?? I have the same mixer. when it got shipped, the dude that shipped it to me wrapped it super tight in saran wrap-type stuff and it bent one of the channel faders and it slowly started to cut out in one of the channels. so now i have it duct taped down to keep the connection, but that means i cant move it...

i ordered a new fader directly from stanton via my record shop nearly a year ago and it just never showed up.....

thanks man

Pro Souund and Stage Lighting ( pssl.com ) can order parts from Stanton for you and have them shipped to you. That's where I got my replacement power supply. They're helpful and fast (although I live nearby in Los Angeles so I get shipments from them the next day)

At first I tried ordering through Guitar Center and they were fucking morons (it took them 2 weeks to tell meI would have to come in to order it and they couldn't ship it directly to me ) So I'll stick with PSSL from now on.

I wouldn't pump too much money in a Stanton. Rather buy a new mixer. What's your budget?

Alright you all will be glad to hear I just ordered a Vestax PCV-275 for $300 from pssl.com (it's discontinued and they only have 8 left ... err 7 ... they had 15 yesterday! ... so grab one quick!)

I am once again broke!
