If Arnold was able to change the Constitution, and ran and won the presidency, then that would definitely signify the end of American society.

I think Rudy Giuliani will run for president in 2008.

He is a very smart republican and has far better leadership skills than Bush. What he did for NYC was amazing. He is republican in his economic agenda but liberal in his social agenda. Giuliani is my type of presidential candidate.

I will support Giuliani 100% if he decides to run.

An Italian as President would be good for the country. And I don't say that because I am Italian but because he will bring some character and true morals to the office.

I can trust Giuliani unlike others.

On the Democratic side Senator Evan Bayh from Indiana has been mentioned by a few people. He's a moderate from a somewhat conservative-leaning state who comes from a political family. He'll have 10 years in the Senate by 2008 and since he just got reelected on Tuesday, his seat will be safe until 2010 if he loses. He would be the type of strategic candidate that may have a shot at bringing in some red states in the midwest and possibly some Southern states, because he comes from a red, rural state and he can play the moral issues better.

John Edwards has a problem in that he has no political job now and the experience issue will really hurt him if he was only a 1 term Senator with no political career for 4 years afterward. Hillary will win the primary easily if she runs, but it will be the same map as this past Tuesday if she runs in the general. She'll come with a lot of baggage from the White House days that will polarize the map. While her husband has the Southern accent and played well in some Southern states, Hillary is from suburban Chicago and doesn't have the same Southern appeal.

What has to happen now is the Dems need to work just as hard for turnout for the mid-term elections as they did for this election, because if they can win back house and senate seats, they can stall Bush's controversial programs. Turnout is lower in mid-term years, so a strong effort by the Dems will work better. Then in 2008 Bayh or someone else who can appeal to a few red states needs to run in order for success.

He's a lot more tolerant than many other Republicans, though he did have an affair in Gracie Mansion while his wife and kids lived there. It would all depend on how his own party would take that when it comes under scrutiny in the primary, kind of like the Jack Ryan situation. Dems wouldn't really care.

That's a tough call. There has only been one woman vice-presidential candidate, who was on the losing ticket. I think that it would be tougher and some people would not vote for a woman, regardless of her ideas, but with the right candidate it could be done. The country is so divided ideologically that I think most people would continue to vote along the party lines and would vote for a Democratic or Republican woman if that is the candidate of their party. I think if Hillary ran she would do equally as well as Kerry did, but would lose the election because she would not pick up any of the states Bush won this year.

I don�t know if another senator for us would be a good idea in 2008� Look how they butchered Kerry�s voting record this time. It�s much easier if a good Democrat candidate was a governor previously (so it has seemed).

Like I said, a good candidate would help.. But unless there is some change in the Democratic Party within the next four years (major changes)� Then we�re not going to win.

Washington state re-elected Senator Patty Murray (D) to her 3rd term. The other WA Senator is Maria Cantwell (D).

Also, there is a dead tie in the race for WA State Governor between Rino Rossi (R) and Christine Gregoire (D). If Christine (D) gets elected (probably will, i hope not) Washington state will have 3 liberal left women running the state. Washington State gets away with this shit, but the USA as a whole would not put a woman in commander's chair.

haha... yeah, that is just plain ridiculous. i just cant believe that. that commercial was all over the tv as Nethercutt's attack ad. Too bad she won, but i guess the majority of the people just didnt care to much.
