djm 500 effects probs

Hi guys

I just got a djm 500 off ebay and i can only make the effects work through the headphone monitor. When i press the effect on/off button nothing happens it just stays lit.

Ive set it to apply effects to the correct channel, selected an effect but when i press the on/off button nothing happens.

Anyone got any ideas?

if the effects work in the headphone then it sounds like you have a problem with the button for the effects itself. It should blink when you press it and apply the proper effects. Its probably a cheap fix.

Yeah your right its the button, faulty connection. I just opened it up and put a wire accross where its soldered. Ah well thats what i get from gettin it from Ebay. Ill prop be able to get it fixed for cheap tho.

just unlucky by the sounds of it, i got my DJM 600 for cheaper than a 500 and it was in mint condition!

I got my whole setup, including 600 in fine condition for the price of 600 on eBay.
