...and how exactly would you know the average IQ of a state? I mean its not like every single american in a state took an IQ test. Also, IQ is age correlated and education level correlated. There are some good colleges in Bush states.

You don't need to have a super high IQ to make a difference or become powerful. Look at DJ Tiesto.
