Local Producers to Collaborate

I wanted to post this in the W. USA section....

I was wondering if there are any local trance producers who might be interested in collaborating. I've been working very hard outside of grad school/work on my tracks, but I would love to make a couple of "choons" w/ fellow musicians in the area. I think I've got enough songs to give to a DJ/send out to labels, but I want to add some more and maybe make a So-Cal team! Lets put So. Cali. on the map

I like producing in a wide variety of styles but I tend to focus on Prog. trance, trance, tech-trance, and prog. house. I've built up a decent studio as a hobby over the years. I work primarily w/ Cubase SX for my sequencer w/ the Access Virus C as my main synth. I have a Sh*t load of vsts.

Of course we have enjoy doing this and not have some other agenda...I love doing this for fun so I dont care what happens....I do it for the fun of it

I'm up for a colaboration, but I've been real busy with school as of late. I know theres a lot of other west coast producers out there too. But I think anyone who would be down with producing here would probably check out the production forum first. (theres a thread about collabs there)

The thing is I think local producers would be better since we're closer together. We can maybe meet up and have a better producing experience. I know we live in the age of trans-global communication but its hard to really tell distant producing partnetrs what u "feel" in a track.

I tried it out w/ a friend in Sweden and let me just say our tune sucked
lol
Well maybe I just suck in general...hahha....but local guys can meet up and work better IMO b/c if I meet the guy (or girl) in person I can tell him or her where i'm going musically

Well right now my agenda is to make some cool prog tracks in the style of Chable. so anyone interested hit me up

And another thing...a big part of making quality tunes IMO is programming unique sounds. While I think layering Vst effects may do the job it would be cool meeting someone w/ exceptional programming abilities.

I'm not interested in the stereotypical JP-8000 trance saw sound we've heard a thousand times before....something much more unique and innovative

Actually I'm really interested in incorporating guitar-type sounds in prog trance/house tracks

hehe
