My bodykit design for the subaru impreza.

I was playin colin macrae rally 2,when i realised the impreza,as loveley as it was, could do with a bit of a makeover, paint shop pro and a bit of my creativity came to mind!
Whaddya think?

The original pic i took:

The version modded by me!:

well it looks like you took off the decals and looks to me that you lensflared the lights. and what are those lines down the thing, and you added a wack body kit not practical for rally. oh i see what you're doing, you're making it street? well good job sir sorry bout my bitching

you could buy a decent car for the amount youd end up paying for that stuff

Posted by Fraggle on Oct-14-2001 16:52:

hehehe...looks like a pike's peak impreza

...maybe twin engine 900hp!?!?!

Posted by Kia Kaha on Oct-14-2001 17:05:

Talking

It's a beautiful thing ... but an asthmatic Evo running on two cylinders would still bend it over the ironing board and ream it out, any day

Posted by Superscope on Oct-14-2001 19:55:

Yeah, especially the evo im modifyin in paint shop pro just now! ;-)

i tend to like understated kits more that flash stuff. With as much body roll as you have set in the car i cant see why you would put such a large airdam on it. youd break it the shit off, especially in rally. plus, yeah, unless is was 900 horsepower and a pikes peak car all that cladding would just weigh and drag it down. a good way to shave 20 mph off the top speed. late/

Obviously if you where gonna do this much it would all be done with carbon fibre and you would tune the engine up to the fuckin eyeballs.

cool, im just saying i would spend less and go with less flash, strip decals, shave emblems and get maybe a small body kit and then spend 40000 on a stage 3 turbo and some more money on suspension for when i rally the shit out of it...heh

Posted by biznology on Oct-14-2001 23:11:

then again id kill for just the stock wrx race car...late/

Posted by Superscope on Oct-14-2001 23:17:

If i had my way with a scobby or an evo6 (NOT THE SEVEN!),i would make it into a 900 bhp nitrous'd bear. And the sound system? Ahhhh, where to begin.

Nope sorry, don't like your version I LOVE the rally version of the Impreza with those decals. I always race my friend on GT3 with this car against his Evo and CRUSH him (maybe if u add the decals and fix up the spoiler a little bit I'll reconsider my decision...)

Posted by Superscope on Oct-15-2001 00:45:

Eh fuck you padre, stick your decals up your ass! Lol,im kiddin tech man.But your still wrong. He he.

Dont rice out the subaru please! .. I wonder if ya'll have been watchin too much fast and the furious or play too much gran turismo.

I dont often see nitrous on rally cars, and good luck getting more then 600 hp out of a 4 cylinder engine .. kids nowadays come up and say "i got nitrous" i reply "i got a turbo"

Where u gonna get 900 hp from? What would be the point ... even with 4wd u think u'd get trackion? in the dirt?

Posted by Kemical_Rain on Oct-15-2001 04:10:

the kit iz ugly

Posted by cheesenip on Oct-15-2001 04:22:

i don't like bodykits that look rough n stuff... i like the ones that are clean and smooth... =/

First of all, it doesnt matter cause we are all just bullshitting here, but it IS possible. tuners in japan - forgot which ones, all their cars are gold tho - pumped just about 900hp from a 1L 4 cyl 240sx engine. sure they had nitrous, racing fuel, engine mods everything but- its been done. and rod millens celica/tacoma whatever toyota rally car is only a 4 banger and exceeds that number with plenty of tracion. i for one would never need that in a road car or rally car or whatever im just saying its possible. 'riceing' out a car has nothing to do with performace either, actually quite the opposite. cheesy body kits, coffee can exhausts, blue tinted headlight bulbs and lowering springs without the camber kit all make a rice car. late/

mmm 4wd turbo...

Posted by b0bb0 on Oct-15-2001 11:03:

Yea i know we are just bs'ing .. my bad

But, i assume the 240 engine ur talkin bout is the sr20det .. but ive never seen one of them 900 hp in my life

And the tacoma/celica drag car ur talkin bout is craig paislys and its a tube frame celica with a v8 tacoma engine .. the engine usually runs once or twice down a 1/4 mile track .. not very reliable for rally events... not flaming just making a point

no im cool, i know its not a flame, but now i have to make my point..hehe. go here>> http://motorsports.toyota.com/motor...peak/specs.html
and youll see the rally tacoma im talking about. its a turbo charged 4 that runs damn near 10 mins up pikes peak. alt i will give you that it broke down this last year, but its made multiple trips up in this form and its previous incarnation the Celica GT - this car with a different body, nothing really different. if you ask me the celica was much cooler, if simply cuz it aint a truck. its got 850hp, so not quite 900, but thats pretty close.... late/

Posted by Fraggle on Oct-22-2001 14:58:

err, there's at least one or two rb26dett's with 900hp

i think they're drag ones, but hey...it can be done (tho i'd hate to imagine the cost!?!?!)

btw...don't know about other parts of the world...but just about every impreza/wrx over here is totally riced out

...some look pretty good & go hard too...but the majority look terrible & haven't been modded right ...even subaru was warning owners that mods were causing engine damage because there wasn't enough cooling etc.

anyway, good to see other countries finally getting it...considering it's dirt cheap porsche-like performance, i think it's awesome !!!

Posted by biznology on Oct-22-2001 22:30:

yeah i know what you mean by riced, but there are actually a good amount of turboed ones where i am from thanx to JC SPORTS. back in colorado they do just about anything and everything for those scoobys. i cant say the ones with turbo arent still rice...i hate it when that happens, but ill tell you if i had one it wouldnt be, but then again im not the spoiled kid that gets a car to rice period...dammit/

Posted by jzmhed1 on Oct-23-2001 07:04:

yeah, the kit looks aight, i guess, but in real life those headlights would give about two feet of visibility
