Start to a new track - feedback

My very first track i'm currently working on, i dont no if this is the begining or a build up or what style, who knows, any feedback would be nice

I really like it Wasn't sure WTF was happening with it at first but once I "got it" I liked it a lot. The volume on the first bit is awfully low....you might want to start it up a bit more. It got loud because I thought it hadn't been recorded hot enough and had the volume up quite high.

The volume is low in the begining becuase I had it fade in, I need to add a better kick, fx, eq, work on a begining to the song lol, but the main idea is there

Thanks for your feedback!!!

hey, nice start it has a kinda james holden sound to it that goes for the pace also. I like this style its good for your 1st attempt Id like to hear more though. how did you do those noise's? is that one synth playing or many? what do you use to produce? Ive just finished my 1st track to, so im new to it also.

Actually the more i listen to it the more i think the could be a wicked tune, a phat bassline would sound awesome. It sound like prog trance, deep stuff.

Thanks for the feedback!!

Right now i'm currently using Fl Studio and several vsts, that sound is two differet synths over each other, with delay/reverb/Eq for effects

synths I used:

Ablino
z3ta
CronoX

ah ok cool, i like the new sample it sounds cool man. i cant wait to hear the finished tune. I wouldnt mind making something like that. Are you using arppegio's for those melodies or are the 2 synths just normal key stroke melodies if you get me

Posted by tripudio on Nov-10-2004 19:41:

they are regular keystrokes - but made into a arppegio on both synths, one synth is panned to right and the other to the left, with Delay/revrb/eq/compression for effects. I'll post a picture when I get home.

Does it sound midi like??

Thanks for the feedback, do u have any sample of your track, i'm curious to here it

Posted by music2dance2 on Nov-10-2004 23:05:

ok i get ya, i wouldnt have thought of using the 2 melodies to make the arpeggio, although ive wondered how that sound was done. How long have you been producing?

http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...threadid=219535

thats the link to my 1st track, how do you mean does your track sound midi? As in not enough layers?

Posted by tripudio on Nov-11-2004 00:30:

Well I posted this sample in another forum, basically to sum it up, they mentioned it sounds like midi?? who's knows??

I used the same melody - just applied it, to two different sounds.

I've been producing for maybe 2 months, basically just getting an idea how to produce different sounds, structure of a song, etc

I'll have a listen to your track when i get home from work

Posted by music2dance2 on Nov-11-2004 22:04:

ah i know what you mean now. The other people in the forum mean that it sounds like a midi file. You can D/L them from to make remix etc. They are good to learn from actually, like structure layers etc.

cool dude, let me know what u think and if youve got that pic that would be great.
