Can't wait for PoP:WW to roll around. The first game flew by way too fast. Personally, I didn't think the control scheme could have been improved any more. It's really top notch in PoP:SoT

one of my personal most anticipated games this year. loved SoT and after playing the demo about 5-6 times through, i know i'll enjoy it too. just for fun, make sure you test out the numerous combinations of attacks in the demo, lots of a sweet looking moves to discover. like that one handed, 360 spin dual-sword/kick move. looks like he's break dancing

yeah.. that's one is really sweet... something else that is pretty cool is when you stand behind an enemie and do a long jump over him and hit a wall pretty high up and then throw yourself from there right at them...

there's so many cool move's

That's an old move, I believe.

IGN recently posted this regarding WW:

quote:
The Prince is Dead

The Prince will die. That's Ubisoft's claim for Prince of Persia: Warrior Within. If that seems like a spoiler, you should know that there's a twist. Though Ubisoft has been saying the Prince will die since E3, it's not actually what you think. In fact, according to Ubisoft, only observant players will note the event.

How does all of this tie into the story of Warrior Within? The second POP begins several years after the events of the first. In The Sands of Time, the Prince made one horrible mistake and ending up killing his loved ones. By the end of the game, he managed to fool time itself and erase the mistake as if it had never happened. In doing so, the Prince disturbed time's natural order.

For the past few years, a horrid beast known as the Dahaka has hunted the Prince. Now, desperate to restore peace to his life, a near-mad Prince makes a final attempt to hunt down the Empress of Time and kill her in order to save his own life.

Does the Prince meet his end at the hands of the Dahaka or the Empress of Time? Or is there something else that brings about his demise? Ubisoft's not telling, but have offered a new trailer teasing the Prince's end. Check it out by clicking the link below.

yes it is.. but i can't remember that i ever managed to jump over an enemie and high up on a wall and then jump down on them..
not that it looks like now atleast.. can be wrong thou

Posted by Yan on Nov-12-2004 03:52:

Ohhh... Jump ABOVE an enemy and then thrust down? Damn. That's new... Unless you're speaking of the kill hit (final thrust) attack.

I thought you were talking about that wall attack where you run at it and then push off and fly by an enemy with your sword out.

What kind of computer specs do you think are necessary to run a demo for a game such as PoP:WW at a steady 60FPS?

Posted by Linx_da_cat on Nov-12-2004 15:07:

hmm i would estimate:

1.4-1.8 Ghz
512 MB RAM
Radeon 9000+

then again, we have no way of knowing if the engine in the demo was finalized (ala doom3, which was laggy as hell, more so than the final product)

those specs are @ 800 x 600 x 16 bit

yeah.. i ment jumping above the enemy first

linx: ok.. almost thought you meant that.... but the PS2 version is just fine.. work's great

ok so im a bit late on this, but with xmas and exams I couldnt afford to buy it until now.

I love the game. Its difficult as hell (or I just suck) but the moves, control and complete atmosphere of the game is amazing. Running from the Dahaka really does feel like running for your life, while the rest feels like a guy exploring an old building. Camera angles are great and I can count the number of times its been out of position on one hand.(in about 30 hours of playing)

anybody else pick up the game yet?

Got this for my PC and it runs like shit. I have a pretty decent PC too so I was pretty upset. I loved Sands of Time and it ran great but Warrior ran so sluggishly I just was immediately turned off. Maybe someday when I upgrade my PC and it runs nicely I'll go back and play it again.

Posted by j_spot on Jan-05-2005 22:57:

I got it for PS2, so system specs arent an issue.

I have this game and I enjoy it, except for that stupid ass Dahaka! I am at Dahaka chase 7 and I always get caught after I flip from the last pole, there's nothing I can do to pass it! It's pissing me off, the only thing I can think of is to slow down time, but I doubt that will work.

Posted by parad0x on Jan-26-2005 15:23:

it took me some time but i finished this game and i can say that it is worth whatever money you will have to pay. running along (and up) walls for hours is awesome, stopping and reversing time is anyother thing i loved to do for hours on end.

How did you beat the last boss? I keep on trying but I can't kill her!

Posted by j_spot on Jan-26-2005 20:53:

save your sand for when she uses slow time on you. if she starts to combo, backflip out of there. and run like hell from the tornadoes and hope for the best.

Posted by big_charm on Jan-27-2005 15:26:

Got the game about a week ago. I have been playing it casually (as I have others to beat still). It's a great game so far, lots of action...and the graphics are pretty good as well (have the x-box vers.)

Posted by j_spot on Jan-27-2005 16:59:

oh yea, and I have to add, I MUST SUCK AT THIS GAME

when I played hte first time, I couldnt even beat the first boss(get off the ship) I had to set it to easy so taht I could beat her.
after I completed the game, I tried on normal again, no dice. I still cant beat her on normal. so I must suck

Posted by dbl on Jan-28-2005 10:54:

have finally bought the hole game now
it freaking ruuuuulez....

one thing i booth like and kinda dislike sometimes is that you don't know where to go like you did in the first game... much harder this way sometimes

great game

Posted by parad0x on Jan-28-2005 14:33:

i beat her by blocking and then getting a few hits in at a time and then rolling away. yea its a litte cheap but it works also you can try to use the speed up time command and hit her like 20 times and then run away before she can attack you back
