The Future of Trance Music
What do u think about the future evolvement of trance music?
Do you think there will ba a new genre?
I'm sure u have fresh ideas on that topic. Plz share them.
I would like it if trance will get less popular again... so dj's/producers have to do more their best to accomplish something.. these days it looks like (at least in .nl) many pieps just follow the big club..
On TIC i saw a lot of people sitting on chairs.. probably all night, without showing any emotions.. just waiting for the end.
the futures techno get used to it

Sometimes your just too fuked to dance
Though sometimes when i go clubbing with my friends they arent too interested in dancing so sit most of the time.
yeah u seem to go through phases when clubbing i used to just dance all night talk to everyone and never sit down once but now i tend to sit down alot more and enjoy the music and other peoples company.

There needs to be less cookie cutter epic garbage and more experimentation. That would primarily mean ppl would actually need to learn how to use Reason instead of relying on refills and copying other people's sounds.
Less emphasis on the euphoric breakdowns and more on the part that you actually dance to would be nice as well. Tracks that u mix for one minute then have a 4 minute breakdown and then only have a minute to mix out of SUCK (Abel Ramos's Aquarius comes to mind, the track is 65% breakdown...)
imo opinion trance wont die, but there will be new sounds coming.
many djs will start morphing trance into something
different. this is beCAUSE its a bit too much hype.
djs arent stupid they will play the more bangin stuff
in the right atmoshere in a club.
the more melodic breakdown stuff is for the beach or bed,
not the club - and the best djs know this.

I think trance will become like eminem
shitty when it runs out of material
or has that already happened?
Trance is already running out of ideas or the people with the talent just like padding their wallets.
it will fall in on itself, reinvent, and repeat, just like everything else.
personally, i'm past the epic stage, past the prog stage, past the breaks stage, and into the full on psytrance stage!

| Originally posted by Orange Project I really much agree with you. Trance could have a future If there was more experimentation with the core, not with the breakdown |
