Leama & Moor - Angle Series Vol 1

New stuff by Leama & Moor...

A1. Fact of the Matter

B1. Complex Synth Problems

:::EDIT::: - After more listens.... I agree with most that said they are rather boring, and not up to L&M's standard productions.

I've heard Fact Of Matter in a Ben Lost set, and it sounded pretty cool! Not like the usual Leama & Moor style, but pretty awesome none the less!

i wasnt impressed with either tunes on the first listen, ill give them a few more though

edit, just had a relisten, fact of the matter is actually pretty nice, complex synth problem is ok, i dont like one of the synths, but its ok

Both sound mint... can't wait to get them

Heard the a-side, another sign of Leama & Moor's rapid decline in release quality. Apart from the nice growling bassline it sounds like another classic "dumbed down trance for prog credibility"-track with no edge or bite whatsoever. Hope the flip is better.

instead of releasing weak stuff like this Leama & Moor should release Shade of Red/Shade of Blue

Posted by PHg on Nov-10-2004 21:07:

Shades of Red/ Shades of Blue has just been released on vinyl

lol ^

pretty disappointed with this release
looks like lately they lost a lot of their inspiration
too bad

Posted by AlphaStarred on Nov-11-2004 01:01:

my intent is not to bash leama & moor but i'm completely crestfallen with this release...sounds like a bunch of bullshit mixed together to create some hyped up mainstream prog that has absolutely no creativity or originality whatsoever...the duo has Def. done better than this humbug...

Haven't heard either mix so I can't reply on them yet, but even if this release isn't as solid as their others, L&M has already worked wonders for me this year. I could definitely live with one poor release after half a dozen excellent productions/remixes this year. But I will be checking this one out.

I actually like CSP over FotM..pretty good job

Posted by Rooger on Nov-12-2004 19:14:

This is very disappointing, as well as Shades Of Red / Shades Of Blue.
Their own productions doesn't live up to their remixes so far.

I quite like fact of the matter
nice chill melodies effects are really cool
6.5/10
Complex Synths is pretty good too especially that funky bassline which reminds me haak mix of lost sequence but its getting a bit boring at the end
5.5/10

definitely prefer shades of red over these though

Personally I think you're all missing the point. The Angle Series is a new project that they want to do to try different things other than the same usual thing you all expect. If you dont like it, well there are always some who do, cant please everyone.

yeah i totally agree with this. I quite like both tracks they are pretty unique, especially complex synth problems. nice to see them attempting something new

Posted by Ben_Lei on Nov-15-2004 19:12:

gotta hear these...love their work so far

Posted by Hanki on Nov-16-2004 20:36:

They're makin' better remixes than their own productions IMO...These track are quite nice, but not as good as the mentioned remixes by Leama & Moor...

Posted by Shudder on Nov-17-2004 03:43:

on the first listen, i couldnt even get past 3 mintues. the synth they use as the main melody is so overused. not really my style

Posted by skip on Nov-17-2004 19:17:

great stuff IMO! definitely going to buy this if it will be released on lost language (and thus available on cd too). lovely change from the same 'ol same 'ol sound they've been pushing. altho i love that too, but it's kinda over saturating the market.
