Kick ?
Hi guys,
i know you've heard this question 1001 surely here, but the search function don't give me results, that i can use.
I'm new in the producing szene. I got Cubase Sx 2.0 and some progs!
So now is my question, with which Hardware (cheap is good) or Software i can make good Kicks/Drums/Percussion ... ?
As well, u have some good tips or tricks?
...sorry for my english !

download some free kick samples off the internet and screw around with them. or you can use synths like vanguard to make them. im not sure how since all my kicks are made by layering free kick samples together. doru malaia has lots of good kick drum samples for free. google it.
there was a GREAT pack here a while ago with sampled kicks in it.. can't find it for the life of me tho.. anyone know where it's @?
that will be great
Which sample program i have to use?

no program, look for .wav files.
Well you need a sampler, but there are plenty of them out there. Halion is a solid choice if you are a Cubase user. It work well once you understand how to use it. Having the instruction manual that comes with it will help, but there are plenty of free samplers out there I'm sure. Just have a look on www.kvr-vst.com
As for making your own kicks with a synth, for software, you can have a look at Waldorf Attack but I don't think you will get the results you're after. For hardware, there is stuff like the elektron machinedrum and the JoMoX Airbase 99 but that kind of equipment is quite expensive.
thx guys!
there was this software called 'Stomper' this enabled you to produce your own kicks from scratch! Google 'Stomper' to find it!
thx again! For all other u can find this program here: http://www.lysator.liu.se/~zap/stomper/stomper5.exe
...it's free!

a sine wave, a pitch envelope and an amp envelope and compression/eq is all it takes for a bassdrum.
and some stuff to layer over
