Remembrance Day Thread
Well today is Remembrance Day. It seems as though with every passing year, the significance of this day is diminished slightly. However, that being said, I wanted to create a thread for people to share stories of family members or friends that may have participated in wars from our past.
The only stories I have concerning this subject come from my father who lived in England during World War II. His father had died prior to the war, and his mother was left with three children. Their house was destroyed in an air raid one day, and he has told me stories of the struggles him and his family faced.
These struggles were endured so that we would be afforded the opportunities we currently enjoy.
So please, share a story if you have one, so that we can remember those who suffered for us.
my bad, saw all other threads.. SHIT, sorry everyone...
please close this thread
