Exclamation D-Day Game Idea

I don't know about you other gaming fans, but I would absolutely love for a in depth game made with the D-Day landings. Instead of a game being based off WW2 in general, and having 1 map be the D-Day battle (Ex: Medal of Honor), they should make a detailed D-Day landing game. You would have objectives to complete like getting to the shingle, blowing a whole to open it up, clearing bunkers, trenches etc. I am just a large WW2 buff, great time to study in my opinion. I would love for a game designer to make a game dedicated to it.

If you haven't checked this out yet, well now's your chance.

Yeah, that's a cool game but it's not really historically accurate which is what I think he's after.

Cool, I love WW2's history as well. Have you checked out Colose Combat? its old but very realistic and historically accurate as far as i'm concerned

Well, at least I tried.

That's an interesting idea for sure. Personally, I really love WW2 fps games.

I'd like to see a WW2 game with bigger battles. Most FPS games don't break 20 hours of play anyways, so I think it would be great to see a game with only a few stages, but each one covers one massive battle that lasts 5 or 6 hours (with a few breathers in between to save and take a break of course). Something on a huge scale too.

I bet the Source engine could do it... there's a lot of huge, outdoor areas in hl2 already.

Yeah you know what I'm after. I am talkin' huge long battles that last hours instead of minutes. Something that is historically accurate and long lasting.

Activision should team up with Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg to make the ultimate WW2 FPS. Since Activision are always with the best quality games, and Hanks and Spielberg are god when together, it could be powerful. I wonder if any gaming companies actually have consumer suggestions. We should all write someone an e-mail.

I completely agree with you Ek0nomik. We should all write an e-mail or do something.
