Exclamation 2005 Trance Australia PRODUCTION comp

We're really happy to announce:

5AM & Trancetribe present the 2005 Trance Australia Production Competition.

5AM & Trancetribe pres: The search for Australias finest trance producers.

Calling all Australian trance producers, whether youre producing in the studio or in the bedroom, heres the opportunity youve been looking for.

5AM & Trance Tribe are now accepting submissions of original tunes, in which the best 12 tunes will be selected and appear on a compilation cd Trance Australia vol.1, which will be marketed nationally and internationally.

The competition is open to any producers that are based in Australia, and only original tunes will be considered. The closing date for submissions is Friday 31st December 2004.

We are searching for the best uplifting trance sounds, or what can be termed to closely resemble the category. Compositions on the progressive tip to a harder edge sound will be considered if they contain uplifting trance elements. i.e. The parameters may include the Markus Schultz style progressive trance through to Alphazone style harder sounds. Please no deep tribal progressive, and no hard style or hard house.

The judging panel will consist of Reemo & Albert Mangler from 5AM, Scott Richardson & Rossco from TranceTribe, and one of the worlds best up & coming producers, Robert Nickson from Armada / A State Of Trance.

Once the best tunes are selected, they will be used on a mix cd compiled by 5AM & Trance Tribe, with a full launch parties around the country in late January / early February. Depending on the quality and number of entries, this could quite possible be a double cd. This will coincide with a tour by Robert Nickson and some other very special guests.

Prize packs will be donated to the best entries courtesy of 5AM, Trancetribe, and Vinyl Warning.

A condition of entering the competition will be that you agree for your tune to be used on the compilation cd. Winners will be required to enter into a formal agreement in regard to permitted use of the track submitted, and the rights of all parties shall be protected.

This is your chance to get on the world map, and a great opportunity increase the profile of Australian trance. So what are you waiting for? Fire up the VSTs and get the midnight oil burning!!!

Thanks for the nice words guys, but I'm not counting my chickens yet.. Given the standard of work that I've heard so far from guys like keith909, pho mo, lew.d, and discovery it's going to be a tough 6 or 7 weeks.. and people seem to be popping up all over the show that I never even knew existed let alone made wicked trance, so if I don't get on the CD, it will only raise the bar further

Actually, why not add your details to the IDtags in the MP3. We'll check them. Or, just upload a txt file with the same name as your song with your details

Scottie

there are quite a few people popping up out of nowhere, I wonder if people are working on brand new stuff or if they have already been working on stuff....

Posted by Antistatic on Nov-17-2004 01:08:

I just conned my folks into getting me Cubase SX3 as an early X-mas prezzie.

Posted by Antistatic on Nov-17-2004 04:11:

Damn because it's the 'education' edition (>$600 cheaper) it's gonna take a week or two to get here so they can veryify my student status or something.

Posted by Chookie on Nov-17-2004 04:59:

^^^^^

It's worth it for that much discount though!

One that was already written but I'm currently polishing, and I reckon one new one especially for the competition!
