Scott Peterson case : Verdict In 4 ET/1 PT
finally .. it's about time they have a verdict for this guy.. if people are not familiar with this guy, or are from outside the United States, here's his story :
He, Scott Peterson, has been accused of killing his wife and child. their bodies were found decomposed in the Pacific Ocean. He was arrested in December 2002. During all the deliberations, pretrial hearings, trials, and hearings, we have seen many people speak, evidence come and go, and the woman who Scott Peterson has been pimping with while he was married to Laci (wife of Scott that was killed). the reason why this case is taking a very long time, because the defense is arguing that there is not enough evidence to accuse Scott of the murders.
all the information is here . it has all the news about the case from day 1.
so what do you think? let's here what you think he is? guilty or not guilty?
i saw he is definately guilty.
Definitely not guilty of second degree murder.
Not sure, though...
I have a slight feeling that the jury will bring back a fucked up verdict like NOT GUILTY
Personally, after everything I've heard, I think the guy is guilty as charged and that they should go for the Death Penalty in the penalty phase of the trial (if it gets there). He obviously killed his wife and unborn baby and how can you explain, you are 100miles from your house fishing on some day, and your wife's body is found 2 miles from where you went fishing!. I hope they fry his ass, divorce is a heck of a lot cheaper than murder.

| Originally posted by itsTrueSonic how can you say not guilty?? you know what??.. i think the "ethical" judicial system is going to step in and take over this case by getting Scott Peterson out of this mess.. they will probably pull out some story that there is not enough evidence to convict him of the crime... the good ol' judicial system... if o.j. can get out, anyone can have a chance in the court room. |

i hate to "rock the boat" but i wouldn't be surprised the jury lets him off. he's guilty all right but can you say oj?

| Originally posted by Yan I wasn't stating what I thought of the case. What I meant was that he wasn't going to be charged with 2nd-degree. He's either totally f*cked or not at all. "First-degree convictions, carrying the death penalty or life without parole, would mean jurors concluded Peterson planned the killings. Second-degree murder convictions don't require a finding of premeditation and carry sentences of 15 years to life for each count." |
i think we will have a repeat oj trial verdict.
I think he's guilty. But he has the best defence lawyers around & tore apart the average DA's. So i think he will walk.

He'll probably get off 'not guilty' then star in his own reality show.
It seriosuly would not fucking surprise me.
Do not fear, children. The end is near.
time for scott to walk!!!

Guilty.
I think hes almost certainly guilty, but the prosecution did not provide any truly solid evidence. I think he will be found non-guilty (and deservedly so). The cops and prosecutors really rushed to get this case, and did not sufficiently search for, and thus, provide solid evidence. I dont like it but those are the rules.
However, dont be suprised to see a hung jury, with a possible mistrial. Either way, well have appeals for years.
CNN reports Peterson was found guilty.

Peterson got pwn3d.
He's not getting the death sentence, though.
Mister Peterson is going to rot in a cell!
Damn baby and wife killer
It is nice to see that juries can make informed decisions. The slimebucket Peterson is done for, guilty of 1st degree murder and 2nd degree murder and the special circumstance was found to be true. So at least, he'll get 40 yrs to life and at best, which I sincerly hope happens...he will be put to death in California's lethal injection chamber at San Quintin.

Guilty of 1st Degree Murder for killing his wife.
Guilty of 2nd Degree Murder for killing his unborn (8 months) son.
The death penalty is available in this case.
edit: although California hasn't executed anyone in a long time.
