Question Great songs made into even better EDM songs ...

Looking to see what everyones tastes are . . .

I wanna know what regular non-edm songs that were great as they were, but that when they were turned into EDM songs, they got even better ?

Anybody ?

Dare I say that I prefer the Tiesto mix of Radiohead's Street Spirit to the original?

I have this song from killerlopp with chi-mai, I haven't heard the orignial but only the edm version. Its a nice chill out track!

Get it from the album: Live @ goliath 3 or Dj Energy - Astroids

I'd liked to know the original artist, anyone?

Slipknot - Duality (Remix)

Dunno who did that remix. Andrew K played it at GDB. Awesome remix of this shitty band.

The original Duality is a monster tune anyway.

Sarah McLachlan - World On Fire (Junkie XL Remix)

Sarah McLachlan - Stupid (Hyper Remix) <~~~~ Sooo much better than the original imo!!

Sarah McLachlan - Fallen (Gabriel & Dresden Remix)

Evanescence - Hello (Gabriel & Dresden Trifactor Mix)

Those are jus a few off the top of my head

God... how can you even compare that... tiesto's remix of street spirit is one of the worst things i've heard, because it makes a perfect song sound so terrible.

Nah... it's good for the floor, but her vocals do not sound so special in it.

Equinoxe 4 by Jarre, then by Shane 54 & DJ Quicksilver.

The remakes don't even come close to the original.

No, you may not :P

I think Paul Oakenfolds remake of Madonna's "What it feels like for a girl" is outstanding...

Jean Michel Jarre - Oxygene 8 (Sunday Club Remix)

Royal Gigolos remake of "California Dreamin' which was either originally by the Beach Boys or the Mamas and the Papas, but they sample the Mamas and the Papas version...awesome dance track.
I also love Eric PRydz and "call on me" which uses a sample of Steve Winwoods "Valerie". Actually, both of these may be less remake than just straight sampling...still tight though.

LOL, was thinking ths same thing.

Come on, even a local station here in Iowa is playing that California Dreaming song! When a Top40 station in Iowa plays something, you know it's "radio music"
