How much do you pay for gasoline?

so .. with all this price hiking with the gasoline, now that oil seems to be very hard to find nowadays, for some strange reason.... as of now, current price of a barrel is $47.32/barrel, which is a considerable drop from that very high $55.17/barrel.....

i am currently buying around $19 to $22 dollars a week.. i do a lot of travelling back and forth, especially to work ..

Posted by Krypton on Nov-13-2004 15:05:

i usually put in only 5 or 10 bucks at a time about every two days so around 40 dollars a week. gas is around 2.01 for regular, so we pay a lot.

Posted by SkyHigh on Nov-13-2004 15:07:

i put in 20-22 bucks every week ......or 33 dollars every 400 klicks

Posted by itsTrueSonic on Nov-13-2004 15:12:

oh yeah .. gas here is $2.08 (supreme) .. regular is $1.88, and super is $1.98 .

typical price per litre in the UK is 83 pence - about US$1.30.

my round trip to work every day is 20 miles, and i'd get about 350 miles per tank with that sort of driving - i can get nearly 400 miles per tank with motorway driving)

now costs me just under 40 (US$64) for a complete fill up, so that would last me 17 days, or just over 3 working weeks.

give other travel into it, say thats filling up every 2 weeks, so i spend about US$130 on petrol (80) per month.

I'd say between 50-80 ($80-$130) per month

$1.86 a gallon, i typically go in 5-10 dollar increments

Regular Unleaded petrol here (OZ) was around $1.12/L around the start of the week, which is about US$0.86 at the current exchange rate.

It's fallen now to about $1.06 (US$0.81)

For the last couple of months its been hanging around the $1 mark (US$0.76 <-- the current exchange rate AU - US, if anyone's interested)

I myself usually spend about 40 a week when I'm having to drive to uni and back every weekday, but now that uni is finished, that's down to about 30 (US$30.6 and US$22.95 respectivly)

*edit* there's ~3.79 Litres in a Gallon, so fuel at $1.12/L, is about US$3.24/Gallon

*edit*
Upon reflection.

in puerto rico, gas is around 45 cents (.45 dollar) / Liter

which is really cheap. we pay no gas taxes.

I get the lowest grade possible (regular, I guess) and it costs me about $2.09/Gallon. I'll probbly spend about $20 a week on average.

meh.

Posted by Matt on Nov-13-2004 16:31:

70-75 Canadian cents per litre right now.

Posted by the-un-named on Nov-13-2004 17:26:

Regular Unleaded = $1.89/Gallon

Posted by varun on Nov-13-2004 17:29:

crazy californian markups...

in that sense, i'm glad i don't live in the bay area anymore. i'd shoot myself if i had to pay 2.50+ a gallon to fill up every week...

on second thought... i probabaly wouldn't shoot myself, but i would be very pissed off having to take the bart instead...

Posted by Yan on Nov-13-2004 19:13:

91 USD a week.

I drive a hell of a lot to college and back - 76 miles a day, 5 days a week.

Gas up 3 times during the week. Each time at about 30 dollars.

I fill up with regular. The gas prices on Long Island are ridiculous.

Posted by UnBracKo on Nov-13-2004 19:18:

gasoline is around 1 per liter here.

Posted by torontotrance on Nov-13-2004 19:18:

74.6 per litre across the street

Canadians don't import oil for gasoline, the oil is found in Alberta and Hibernia off the coast of Newfoundland. We do pay 40% in excise taxes to the gov't and the government does not want to share that revenue.

My friend travels all over the world for the company that he works for and he told me that the most expensive gasoline he's seen was Oslo, Norway and the cheapest was Oman.

Posted by Evil_Gnome on Nov-13-2004 19:19:

1.83 a gallon

go figure.. hahahaha...
but i would think louisiana would be cheaper, the fact there is a refinery in the gulf, and there is texas that gets some good oil .. yet, we still receieve shipments from the middle east .. .. canada should get some good cheap oil from alaska..

Posted by idoru on Nov-13-2004 19:28:

$2.21/gallon when I filled-up yesterday. $16 for the whole thing.

Posted by Phil r on Nov-13-2004 19:32:

i don't mind $5/gallon prices here, cos i have quite a few high quality discotheques within close range

Posted by mezzir on Nov-13-2004 21:46:

paid i think 2.04 yesterday driving back from vermont
cheapest i had seen all day, too

Posted by Nautilus on Nov-13-2004 22:07:

I'm tired of paying so much for gas prices.

I'm gonna start sticking up gas stations. I'll walk into the gas station store, pull out a gun, and tell the attendant, "$30 on number 6, Mother******!!!"

Posted by Lil-H on Nov-13-2004 22:49:

Norway has some sick gasoline prices. These days we pay around 10kr/1 litre = 1,58$/1litre

Free
Step Dad drives a tanker & the company lets him get the extra gas when he's done with the day
