UGH, the crapness!

lets see....its 9:30AM CST, just woke up, and feel like total crap......

problem is, I feel like crap EVERY morning I wake up out here.......theres something out here.....some fucking type pollen or fuck if I know.....I sound and feel like I was dumped into a bucket of sand....plugged nose, ears are plugged....kinda dizzy.....mouth tastes all nasty.....keep in mind, this is every morning....ONLY happens after a night of sleep.....

crazy part is, in 30 min, i'll feel fine. Like completely normal.

I need to buy a massive industrial air cleaner to run out here, they can work good.....this is ridiculous.

it's the air. i get it all the time here in louisiana with all this dumb humidity. my nose gets clogged up and i get sinuses. they clear after noon of course. just make frequent stops to the restroom to blow your nose or something like that. either that, or sometimes nasal drops before you sleep work for me sometimes,

never tried them.. i sometimes use nasal drops if i had a real heavy nasal blockage the night before, and it works. sometimes, when i wash my face with facial soap, like neutrogena .. some kind of strong soap, it clears my nasal openings faster than usual.

Posted by SportTrance on Nov-13-2004 16:14:

well, its been 30 min, and now i feel fine.....nose is clear...etc.etc....head is now drained and didnt do a damn thing other than sit upright...

anyway ive tried the strips......not with this issue tho......

I imagine they will clear your nose up though, but it ofcourse wont fix the root of the problem. it basically takes about 4 hours of sleep before my sinus' start to go to shit....a good hot steamy shower in the morning can help clear it all up.....

Sounds like you may be allergic to dust mites. They're everywhere, in the air, clothes, tables, but tend to accumulate in bed sheets and pillows. That's probably why you're so congested after a long night, because you've been inhaling all the dead dust mites and their dried feces. (gross, i know)

You should get an allergist to run some tests on you, to make sure.

If that's not an option consider removing you're carpet in you bedroom, getting covers (actually bags with zippers) for your mattresses and pillows, and washing the sheets and comforters at least once a weeek with hot water.

I woke up with strep throat.

I blame Republicans.

yeah, nice advice

did I mention I got two cats? lol i'm looking into dustmites at familydoctor.org, and it says they do feed off pet and human dander....god knows theres plenty of pet dander around....from the looks of it, my bed is dust mite heaven. There's also little air circulation in that room, so nothings getting cleaned out...

as soon as I leave that room, I am better....I sleep better on my COUCH in my den (well, it is a damn good couch), than my own bed.....I never had this problem in my apartment either...

ima hit up a walmart today and get an air cleaner and some plastic for my mattress/pillows......

i don't think wrapping your pillows in glad bags will work. you want to get pillow and mattress covers that are specifically designed to keep dust mites out. usually they are cotton with a really tight weave and a zipper. i know Target carries them and run about $20. good luck.

yeah I've had one...... They do work, but you gotta clean em alll the time, if you have a dog/cat and smoke.....

mine started making these annoying zapping sounds every 10-20 seconds. I looked at the metal strings and saw little tiny blue sparks.....that didnt bother me, but the whole "silent air cleaner" concept went to shit. I have no idea what the hell was causing it, and tried cleaning the entire thing several times, but eventually threw it out.....

Posted by Mebot on Nov-13-2004 17:46:

you didn't get the crap cheap one did you?

i heard that the really good one ( i think its Ionic Air Breeze something or other...) is supposed to be the best one and that all those other cheap knock-offs don't work..

but then again thats just waht i heard,so im probably totally ass-wrong.

yeah thats the one i was talking about..
Well damn, that sucks

I used to work in office and all the ladies there swore by this thing, that it was the best thing ever..

Do you have a warranty... or better yet sue them for misleading information (ITS NOT SILENT!!!)

eh, this was years ago..... it WAS silent.....for awhile

I think im just too filthy for it.... I mean I got two cats, I smoke.....

I think it'd probably be good for like your typical housewife who dusts 50 times a week and doesnt smoke and/or have pets....

Posted by Mebot on Nov-13-2004 18:24:

yeah true that...

well im sorry i couldnt solve your ailment, but use the advice the other people gave you in the thread (the covers for your sheets and bed and stuff)

how about an air humidifier? have it on all day before you go to sleep in that room, and then keep it on all night

u can get pretty quiet ones

see if that helps

and if u have carpet, get rid of it and put hard wood floor in that helps even more haha

Posted by Clovis on Nov-14-2004 03:13:

Move to Nevada. I've never woken up better...dry as fuck...means no runny nose, no stuffy ness, no allergies...ahhh
