The second song on the cd is called Ratio Shmatio
All I have to say is That track is FREAKEN AWSOMEEEEEEEEEEEEE...

Infected Mushroom is very simplistic goa.

the only track i like in this album is the last one : Infected mushroom - Stretched , chill track.

Best track ever by IM : Bust a move. Then they got tired.

One of my friends has gone totally ape balls over psy, he used to listen to britney spears and shit. He went and bought a load of infected mushroom cds, Out of all of the tunes on this album it's just that one song that I mentioned that really appeals to me... It's SWEET!

I couldn't care less about the rest though.

I wonder why so much psy and goa only come out on cds, there are some really kick ass tunes out there.

I have never heard Bust a move by IM. I would really like to get a psy and goa collection going, but the chances of buying shit is too great... Samples don't help, and you can't find tracklists of sets that you do happen to hear (I've heard about 4 sets of which one was absolutely brilliant).

The new album is realy bad compared to earlier infected work in:

The Classical Mushroom
B.P.Empire

Infected Mushroom is my favorite musical group of all time. I have flown across the US to see them as much as I can (and they are coming to Miami soon!!! woo hoo). Their music is very special and unique. They will always remain as one of the most original minds in the psy-trance scene. They NEVER stick to the trends they always go outside them and while some may think they go too far outside for comfort I think that their stretching of style is GREAT and it's what keeps me interested.

Their 5 albums: The Gathering, Classical Mushroom, B.P. Empire, Converting Vegetarians, and I'm The Supervisor are all different from one another. You may love one album and hate another that's how different they are. I just happen to be a fan of all of their albums because I have taken the tome to understand and "get" what they were trying to accomplish which each album. Yes some albums are less attractive to me than others but all are beautiful in their own way.

To the orginal poster...yes Ratio Shmatio is a GREAT track. I'm sorry you can't connect with the rest of the songs on the album. I feel that this album was a great effort by them. "Stretched" is one of my favorite songs by them currently.

Anyway...

Infected Mushroom

dont like this new album, they have changed their style to suit the "new comers" and made it really commercial

Id rather listen to their older stuff

Older stuff is better and to everyone flaming pull your fucking head out of your asses and get a life.

I think people don't like psy because there is so much shit out there and one hardly ever gets to hear any, unless you really really go looking for it.

I used to be a hardcore infected fan. I even liked CV. But this album is just devoid of any spirit. It's like psychadelic fast food.

Thumbs up

think about it, you can say the same about every style

their new CD is really good, some fews track like IM the supervisor and Noon, but Ratio Shmatio and Bombat are really good IMO, not their best CD and it's not like Classical Mushroom but I don't care because they won't do another classical mushroom

I don't understand why everybody says Classical was their best album. IMHO, BPE easily beats it.

Not necessarily. The reason that guy said that "it blows ass" is because he is overloaded with it scenewise where he lives (Mexico).

As for IM The Supervisor, it has some catchy tunes, but the tracks sound so awfully simple that I'd rather go listen to their older albums' experimental vibes.

I can see why people think Classical Mushroom is their best album, but I prefer The Gathering. It's much darker. BP Empire I don't love, with the exception of the last track.

LOL, the famous battle between B.P. Empire and Classical Mushroom. It will never be decided. Both albums are extraordianrily rich with vibrant colorful sounds, intense moody soundscapes, great fx, great muscial structure etc. However one album (CM) is uplifting and bright while the other (BPE) is dark, brooding and subliminal. It just depends what you like. Both are masterpeice albums, Infected at their prime.

i like their music but their "live"sets leave something to be desired. I saw thema frw years ago and they were awesome, playing drums ect. Recently i saw them and THEY FAKED THE WHOLE THING!!!!!! bitches.

WTF are you taking about?

I have seen them PLENTY of times live and have NEVER seen them fake anything.

#1 - There songs are pre-selected...they already have the songs mixed together and they just play the set as they recorded it.

#2 - Then Erez plays extra synth melodies on his Keyboard while Amit plays with effects on his mixer.

It's not a complicated live show at all, but playing live electronica has it's downsides. Erez and Amit have recently stated that they are tired of doing live sets the way they have been, they need more involvement. So they are working on some more ideas on making their live shows a bit more live, they might take a guitarist on the road and some other things like that.

However they are planning a rock album (non-psy) which is still up in the air but it's an idea they are definetly juggling. If this is the case they will be able to have full on live shows.

Infected is one of my favorite groups of any music, and is my favorite psy (hallucinogen is my 2nd fav). I don't really like the direction of the new album very much, but it's still alright. Infected Mushroom is amazing
