i hate listening to tracks just in the headphones when commenting but it does sound really cool mate, a good style you've got for yourself, personally i wouldnt increase the kick volume too much, compress/sidechain it with the bass so the low end has much more of an impact imo!

would certainly like a better version of this by next month (if you don't mind ) so i can give it a blast on a big system

i'll have a listen on the monitors tomorrow and see if i can be a bit more critical

Yo Silver. Nice tune. Replied your PM with my MSN as you requested.

Quick comment: bass should not come before 32 bars, to be dj friendly. Yeah maybe a little bit more punch on the kick might be nice. Anyways we will talk more about on msn.

Damn nice tune indeed. Go to a label with this .

Hi mate! This track took me a couple of listens before i got it, (think i was listening to too much energetic trance before) .. but let me tell you, it was well worth it.

Firstly, the percussion is super crunchy and just lush. The sounds are spooky, dreamy and vibrant. The effects are superb and fit/create the mood perfectly. The bassline is very nice, although i'd prefer it to have a little more presence.

Overall this tune is just beautiful. Really reaaly nice work!

Posted by alexpea on Nov-15-2004 13:35:

yeah, spooky tune! I like the sound - very clear!

Nuff Said there brother w00t!

Posted by tylerc on Nov-15-2004 21:50:

sounds really nice man. i love your percussion. i think the bass could stand to come up a little more tho. i really like the synths/fx you have in the break at 1:45. i think you should hold off on the kick for at least 4 more bars when it comes in at 2:45.

not much else to say. a pretty good progressive chill tune. nice work.

edit: whats the weird stuff that happens at like 6:30?? it fades out and theres some weird clicking and then it comes back in....is that intentional?

its not good idea to give the bass any more presense honest it overides the synths soooooo easily

iall try that 4..MORE..BARS idea

sorry just had to take the mick outta arnie there for a sec :P

edit:dont worry i removed that!

Posted by DJ_Silverstone1 on Nov-15-2004 22:05:

i think iall leave it mate i dont want to touch the arrangement like that i dont want to re do automation i dont feel it will benifit

but! thank you for that! love ideas !

Very cool track mate. Would love to hear a better quality version

like the percs and what you did in the break. Cant wait for more

Mef.

Okay, that bass synth is one of the craziest things I've ever heard. Makes the song sound like deep trance. I like it.

By 2:20, I'm really beginning to miss the drums. Bring them back in earlier, please?

I, personally, think it sounds like something Sasha would put out. Although I haven't listened to much James Holden that I know of, so I wouldn't know.

Eh, dropping all the synths at 6:17 was way too fast. I didn't like it all that much, personally.

If you were fading the drums out at the end, you should have just gone all the way, then ended with the hit. It would have sounded cooler, IMO.

Posted by DJ_Silverstone1 on Nov-15-2004 22:46:

outro has changed

the synth departed quick indeed yes

Posted by nickmahoney on Nov-16-2004 03:00:

this is smooth track.. i agree with above, i like the percussion the most. i love the unique synths and think the levels and cuts are fine. they dont sound standard, but thats why i like them

Posted by Andy C on Nov-16-2004 11:59:

the kick and percs at the very start remind me of the l+m mix of space manouvres stage one a lot!!

good tune tho, will be dropping u a pm
