I know this is gonna sound funny, but would it be possible to replace the headshell/cartridge on a Sony PS-LX205 turntable? It's just a record player for home stereo listening basically... and the needle has gone to sh*t but it's still a nice little record player Are all turntables universal when it comes to that stuff or..?

Well I already saw that link... but I was thinking of a better needle than that. Would I be able to put a Shure cart on or something?
