this thread IS in the production studio..... are you drunk, Matt?

Reason is a fine way to go if you want to be all software.. only reason everyone says it sux is because it doesn't have VSTi support... and VSTis really aren't that great or anything to begin with

You need to get used to it, but once you are, it's a really great program.

Reason is good for sure, but u are still in a closed environment, if u dont rewire it

Posted by TDG on Nov-15-2004 18:20:

2.0 is fine how it is, though I prefer to ReWire it into Cubase or Pro Tools for mixdowns. If you know what your doing with the program, you can create any type of track you want.

If you wanna experiment more with effects and multing, consider upgrading to 2.5.

but for sound quality with a good card?.... hows the s.q?

Posted by Derivative on Nov-15-2004 23:26:

sound quality is something you get when you get better at producing. there isnt some magical application that will make badly produced songs suddenly sound better. thats just wishful thinking...

Posted by eladla on Nov-16-2004 01:40:

You can make anything with any sequencer, you just need to know how to use it.

As a good friend of mine likes to say "It`s not the size of the worm, it`s how you wiggle it"

Keep on using reason, you`ll get better and it will magically start to sound better

If you want to hear just how good Reason can sound, download and check out some of Sunquest's tracks. They are all made completely in Reason and are very impressive to say the least.

im so sick about this stuphid questions about reason

Posted by Unknown DJ on Nov-16-2004 16:19:

as far as im aware robert nickson, mk-s, haak, unknown source and a few others i cant remember all use reason as well.

Posted by ZxZDeViLZxZ on Nov-16-2004 20:04:

reason suffers from exporting issues which will hinder you a little unless you rewire. reason is reason it was great 3 years ago but now is outdated. advances in vsti technolgy have made their select synths nearly obsolute. my suggestion is get cubase and some vstis or get fruity loops and some vstis or get buzz and some of the buzz machines and the vsti loader for it.
