Lost In Translation
i couldnt sleep at all tonight, i have lost in translation, but hadnt watched it yet. so i pop it in...
i Just finished watching it... and i truthfully have a tear or two running down my face. what a touching movie...
anyone else see this work of art? best movie of 2004 hands down. i cannot wait to see more from sofia coppola. just fucking brilliant...
the acting was VERY good.. and damn man.. that scarlet is just beautiful.. there are no words for it. if there is a god he knew what he was doing by putting her here.
Yeah it's a classic in my eyes. It's one of them films that stays with you for ages after having watched it. The soundtrack is not half bad either with stuff from Kevin Shields and a cool little melodic number by Squarepusher. The music really contributes to the overall feel of the film which doesn't happen too much in movies these days.

It's one of those great movies that really helps you relax and feel well.... something like that .... while at the same time being depressing.
For those who have not seen The Virgin Suicides, it's another masterpiece, Sofia Coppola's first movie and another quite haunting piece of perfection movie.

Lost in Translation isn't really a movie that everybody will like... I guess because its kinda slow. I like the movie a lot though.
I like the track that was playing as they were at the first party that they went to before they went to karaoke.
Chemical Brothers feat. Beth Orton - The State We're In
and also Death In Vegas - Girls

I really enjoyed it as well. The whole movie just has this really well developed atmosphere, it's easy to get into the characters. Lost in Translation and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind are by far the two best of 2004, and definetely two of my favorites in general.
best film i've seen in a long time.
i'm in love with scarlett's role + more so her voice.
felt weird after the film..
made me 'think'
..but i dont know what about
[edit]
that tune at the end as ell - jeaus + mary chain - just like honey
kicks ass. that is all [/edit]
Lost In Translation is 2003 =p.

Awesome movie!
bleh...sofia just got some DV cameras from pops and short shot a video in Tokyo. it is slow, but pretty looking and the content wasnt all there either.
ps - its about her in Japan and why she felt she had to dump Spike Jonze. (he was TOO into his craft to sulk around Tokyo)
i watched the movie and then wanted to scream at her to leave the fucking hotel room before you decide you hate the place|
yep, its a great movie,
it just somehow fills you with warm & happy feelings after watching it, although the storyline is pretty simple
